Despite Elon Musk reportedly spending $168 million in Texas, CBS News projects the state's U.S. Senate race is leaning Democratic, with James Talarico holding a lead with 53% of the vote is counted.
The Texas governor's race is also leaning Democratic, with Gina Hinojosa leading Republican Gov. Greg Abbott. cbsnews.com/midterms/
You should hear how they pronounce Houston in New York City, and how they pronounce Bowie in the rest of the country. Have you heard how they pronounce Guadalupe in Austin? @600espnelpaso

It’s true, they are still in the mist of building the UTEP 🏈 program…playing in a new & BETTER conference against teams who hVE had the MWC resources behind them for a while. It’s not just money/NIL,there are other factors, BUT fans shouldn’t forget a major reason. #perspective
UTEP football head coach Scotty Walden when asked how he feels supported by Jim Senter and the athletics administration.
“We’re building every day. We are still in the midst of building our program. People don’t wanna hear that. People don’t wanna wait. Am I saying when it’s going to happen? I don’t know when…. If we keep pressing forward, we will eventually turn this around.”
Let me know the gym, day and time when you and Ronnie wanna get balled up next week! @600espnelpaso
I guess the answer to other schools doing better than UTEP is …we’re all cursed! Time for bed. Fin. @600espnelpaso
Yes, they did indeed get MWC money but that money doesn’t hit until next year, AP…so they are playing w/zero revenue $ bc they gave up getting rev CUSA money for 2025-2026. So ZERO rev for 2 years. Am I wrong?? Btw Feb was signing day. First day of MWC was July. @600espnelpaso

WE’RE BRINGING PLAYOFF SOCCER HOME TO THE 915!!
That context - context tweet was from weeks ago 🤣🤣. AP always putting me on blast 💀😇😆🤣.
But also, good to see you checking these callers with facts. @600espnelpaso
According to this story, UTEP agreed to forfeit two yrs worth of revenue frm CUSA aftr agreeing to move to MWC. So $5 million vs ZERO $ & peeps EXPECT UTEP to beat these bigger programs tht hve much bigger bank accounts??No mamen. Some perspective please. ktsm.com/sports/college-spor…
Doesn't excuse every mistake but why is it crickets from @600espnelpaso / UTEP fans when somebody brings up a counterpoint to the theme of the night?? Nevada's rev $ for 2026 is $5.5 million. UTEP's rev $ for 2026 is ZERO dollars. #minertalk
A lot of fans may not want to hear this but UTEP 🏈 is essentially playing w/CUSA rev/NIL $$ vs teams tht hve had MWC rev $$$ for YEAR$.It's like playing against big bro w/1 hand tied behind ur back & peeps expect u to be competitive??Perspective please. @600espnelpaso #minertalk
1. As a smaller athletics program you can't fire a coach who has a 1M buyout 2. UTEP fball is playing w/CUSA rev/nil money...NOT MWC rev/nil money. Sorry, but that is a big deal & adds a lot of context. No coach in place would have the full set of tools to be successful #minetalk
