The problem with going to a wader conference, filled with wonderful people as it is, is that the hope in your heart is extinguished hour by hour. So much science, so much love for birds, yet the graphs plunge ever downwards. we have to tackle the root of this. Nature education.

Today, we are moving our 2020 captive bred cohort of #FreshwaterPearlMussels to their new home, small boxes of sand which are better suited to their filter feeding stage. They are now about 3 mm long and pretty sturdy
