Something surprising happened this morning. I was very close to my place of work when I heard someone call my attention. I turned and saw a man standing beside his car. He asked if I could please give him some gum because I was chewing gum. I opened my bag, brought out the few gums I had left, gave him everything, and silently walked away. But as I continued walking, I kept wondering, why would a total stranger randomly stop me to ask for gum? Have you ever experienced something like this before?
