I love and ever need a new beginning. Each year I spend hours of its last few days -Bible open, pen in hand & paper in front of me- reflecting, planning & goal setting with God. He alone knows the future but I can know He wants 2 things from me in it: faithfulness & fruitfulness.

Gospel: A Catholic sister once told me that the most important part of the Annunciation was the final line: "Then the Angel departed from her." Why? Because that's where we live most of our lives, in the afterglow of powerful religious experiences. That's the part of fidelity.
