President Trump is very close to escalating military action against Iran, and despite ruling out an attack tonight, he has left the door open for strikes in the coming days.
The operation is expected to go beyond strikes on Iran's nuclear and missile programs, targeting ports and other facilities as well, with the aim of destabilizing the regime, though overthrowing it may not be an objective.
