The retail trader is the product.
Devs and insiders hold ~10% of supply before anyone else can even see the token, then walk away with $579M.
The $31.5M snipers made is basically table scraps by comparison.
The real story is the game was never "be fast", it was "be early and invisible".
Speed is a bot you can outbuild.
Dev-linked launch-block buying is a seat at the table most players don't know exists.
Which is why "fair launch" is mostly branding. the edge isn't reflexes, it's access.
Who really wins the meme launch game?
Bitquery analysed 8.2M Pump(dot)fun launches and found:
- 21% had developer-linked wallets buying in the launch block, holding a median 10% of supply.
- Developers and bundled wallets made at least $579M after fees on tokens they sold.
- Sniper bots made $31.5M.
Developers and bundled wallets made 18x what sniper bots did.
The problem goes beyond bots getting in first. It’s who gets access, how much supply they secure, and when they sell.

Every robotics team hits the same wall: models trained on clean simulation fall apart the second they touch a real warehouse floor.
@vangrid_io fixes the data gap.
Buyers post capture requests for actual sites, and people nearby collect the footage with their phones.
Real warehouses, streets, rooms and backyards, anchored onchain and settled in usdc.
Over 600k usdc has already moved through the protocol.
That's the line between training on invented environments and training on places that actually exist.

Why useful work matters
The idea behind useful work is straightforward: computation can secure a network while producing results people actually need.

Be honest, how many apps does your crypto life run on?
-> One for holding
-> One for earning
-> One for trading
Every rebalance means withdrawals, deposits, network fees, and time where your money is in transit and doing nothing.
$GRVT collapsed that stack into one self-custodial balance.
Earn strategies targeting up to 11% APY on eligible assets, and the same balance can still back your trades.
Less logistics, more trading.
That's the whole pitch and honestly it's enough.

Meme token hit $15M in minutes. one hour later it's down 98% 💀
The "community" got rugged by the hype they built. spotlight walks out, liquidity walks out with it.
Early buyers eat
Contributors get crumbs
Upside down doesn't even cover it
what if verified activity decided who gets in, not who got there first?

Yesterday, a meme token hit a $15M market cap in minutes. Then lost over 98% of its value within an hour after promotional posts were deleted.
People brought the attention. People brought the liquidity. But when the hype disappeared, buyers were left with the losses.
That's what happens when launches reward being early, not being part of the community.
What if verified activity helped decide who gets a place in the market?

One detail in a @vangrid_io reply stood out: you can't just upload a video from your gallery.
The capture happens inside the app.
That reframes the whole process.
Footage recorded in-app is tied to device, location and time, so the system works with real context instead of a random clip added later.
The next step matters just as much.
The footage has to produce a usable 3D reconstruction, and a submission that fails acceptance checks shouldn't get paid.
A fair caveat though: metadata alone doesn't prove every capture is genuine.
The reconstruction and verification steps still have to hold up.
What’s interesting is how capture, verification and payment connect into one workflow.
The goal isn't more videos, it's data good enough to actually pay for.
That's where @vangrid_io's real value could show up.
