I maintain HydePHP (250k+ downloads), contributed the Number class to Laravel core, and came into all this from corporate security. I have capacity for new work: senior Laravel/PHP engineering, or fractional CTO if you want someone raising the bar across the team. DMs open.

So anyway who was saying you deserve it for running PHP again..?
Evolving threat 🚨 CVE-2026-111497, previously known to affect Node.js (node2shell) and Python has evolved into “HTTP2Shell.” A significant blast radius. This vulnerability leaves many libraries and applications using HTTP vulnerable to pre-auth RCE via Brotli decompression. Please be aware. Fixes not yet available for all affected services. Look for Brotli (1.2.1) dependency upgrades when they become available.

Btw, your HydePHP sites are totally fine. Uses PHP, but needs no runtime.

Crap code always existed. We just went from having a bunch of spagetti in the backend to purple gradients on the frontend. Guess which one I prefer? #keto

Question is, did I forget I asked for it, or did the agent predict me wanting it?

Going to be interesting seeing if we will get Laravel in more languages now

You don't realize how slow wordpress is until you compare it to the Laravel redesign 😏

Like locali(z/s)ation has always been in the back of my mind in Laravel apps, but usually it's landed on someone elses desk. First time properly building a Laravel app in another language and it's so not a problem at all? Props to Filament as well for making it easy! (+AI ofc)

I have no idea why I turned 80% valley girl there, sorry!

Didnt wanna deal with a db manager, just wanted to get a quick overview of the database design, so had AI make a quick #Laravel Artisan command called db:html that generates a static html page with the database. Super fast and snappy and really pleasant to use!

I'm a big fan of having something that just gets the job done. AI has really lowered the friction for that

Builds in an unnoticeable fraction of a second. I truncate to max 25 rows as for this I just want to know the db structure of the AI made migrations. So for example, noticed this totally overengineered navigations table right away

Feels like I am getting way more usage on the latest opus compared to codex. And codex is being sooo lazy too
