As you live your normal life today, in Uganda and in the Diaspora, please do not forget about the political prisoners, disappeared, and killed comrades back home in Uganda.
If you can, please support them in any way you can.
They are paying a terrible price, and some have paid the ultimate price for caring about our country and the future of the youth and the children of Uganda.

These months have been very difficult for all of us, but even much more difficult for our President. Election rigged. Comrades abducted, tortured and others raped. His two Deputy Presidents among those abducted. The third one arrested and charged with terrorism. His Home attacked by the military. Forced to flee for his life. Home attacked again. Wife assaulted. Property vandalised. Items stolen. Edith Mufumbiro dead. Quickly followed by Hon. Hellen Nakimuli. Not able to physically say farewell to these, his beloved friends, because he is forced by circumstances not to be around. Not because he committed any offence, but because he dared challenge the Museveni regime.
He and his family need our prayers. They need our support. Leading an organisation that is hounded left, right and center in such times isn't an easy task.

The media often parrots the myth that Museveni has delivered 'peace and stability' for #Uganda, all while ignoring reality on the ground in which opposition is brutalized, civil society crushed and ordinary citizens trapped in a daily battle for survival.

"I was singled out and targeted by security operatives because I turned down an invitation to go to the State House to meet President @KagutaMuseveni. Some of my colleagues went. They wanted me to declare that I support Mr Museveni. When I declined, they disqualified me from the race for city councillor," one of National Unity Platform (@NUP_Ug) supporters, after security operatives brutalised him as the party president, Mr Robert Kyagulanyi, aka @HEBobiwine, headed to the venue for his campaign rally in Mbale City.

One thing I will thank Ugandans for is not having very prominent tribal disagreements to the point that we fight each other for that sole purpose.
Although some actors have made sure to try and push that agenda, the youth have remained united.
We should never ever be pushed to fight each other on a tribal basis, that will be Ugandas downfall. Contrary to that, we should stick together and correlate, intermarry and cooperate in all different things.
Our Unity will be the reason that we win!

Very enriching discussion at University of Oslo on how to apply RNA-based TB-MBLA test in clinical decision making for TB patients. Was thrilled to learn the team was looking for a solution to objectively measure patient TB burden as a basis of deciding whether the patient is safe to leave isolation unit when they landed on our Lancet Microbe paper doi.org/10.1016/S2666-5247(2… and decided to reach out to us @Infection_StAnd @TBtrials_StAnd @StAndMedicine @univofstandrews Happy to see the paper making impact and people using TB-MBLA to address important clinical research questions. @EmmanuelMusisi2 @BarikiMtafya3 @PanACEA_II @UNITE4TB @NIMRMbeya @Lung_Institute @UStAResearch
