Today, I visited IHE Delft Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands with RI President Yinka Babalola, General Secretary John Hewko, and Director Harriette Verwey. Our discussions explored opportunities to collaborate with the Rotary WASH Institute at Nkumba University, particularly in research, innovation, academic exchanges, and student exchanges. A strong conversation has begun, and we look forward to what this partnership can unlock.

On a sad note, Uganda mourns the passing of His Majesty the King of Tooro Kingdom. On behalf of Rotarians across Africa, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family and the people of Tooro Kingdom in Uganda. King Oyo was a friend of Rotary and was involved in promoting many humanitarian causes. As a UN Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS, His Majesty played a key role in advocating for prevention and treatment. On a personal note, I will forever cherish the memories of his interactions with my family, from his childhood as a classmate to my children, and later as King.
