I might not be on here for a while because I’m honestly tired of people thinking that having a different opinion about a situation automatically makes them intelligent.
Some of you are genuinely disgraceful, and I’m not going to apologise for saying that.
Certain situations call for courtesy, empathy and genuine understanding, not reckless tweets that push misleading narratives. How can you confidently claim that someone intentionally made a tackle with the intention of killing another player?
You can deliberately target an opponent on the pitch to stop them from scoring without having any intention of causing serious injury, let alone death. Nobody steps onto a football pitch intending to kill an opponent.
Matt Taylor broke Eduardo’s leg, and the incident reportedly haunted him for years. More recently, Braithwaite broke Martinez’s jaw in an attempt to score. These incidents looked horrific, and some may have appeared intentional in the moment, but that doesn’t automatically mean the players intended to cause injuries of that severity.
I am absolutely convinced that Owono did not go into that challenge intending to kill the young man. That is an accusation I simply cannot accept. It was an unfortunate accident, and trying to portray it as a deliberate attempt to take someone’s life without evidence is disgraceful.
We can condemn a dangerous challenge, acknowledge the seriousness of an injury and demand accountability without deliberately assigning malicious intentions to a player.
There is a difference between a reckless challenge and an intentional attempt to kill someone. Some of you need to understand that distinction.
Football needs more fairness, empathy and perspective, not people rushing to push the most outrageous narrative for engagement.

A los idiotas que llaman “asesino” al arquero del Andorra, supongo que serán conscientes de que el futbol es un deporte lleno de “asesinos”

Jack Grealish isn’t injured, he’s unavailable because he’s not fit enough to play, and that lack of fitness reportedly comes from all the partying and drinking. I can only imagine the kind of headlines the English media would be running if he were a Black player…

This thing is a thinking problem. The only aspect of corruption you know is stealing.
When you understand how corruption impacts policies, priorities, and problem solving at scale; come back and reread whatever you think you wrote here.
JJ Omojuwa is right. Our major problem is NOT corruption as many Nigerians have been raised to believe. Our biggest problem is inadequate wealth creation/revenue challenge.
South Africa comfortably does an annual budget of $130billion compared to Nigerias measly <$40billion for a 230 million population.
We must stop barking up the wrong tree.

Diomande plays so calmly and direct.
So different from the chaotic football and one way football vini plays.
Different ball game.
