Whoever put this launch video together knew exactly what they were doing 👀 "Your stack is holding you back." "You own it all." @ramiabih and team just launched Querio, an analytics platform made for AI agents and data teams. Easily one of the most creative launches I've seen lately.

Elon Musk explains how frontier AI labs could police each other with a single weekly call: @elonmusk is asked to imagine the five frontier models, his and the others, getting together once a week to work out how to save humanity from ourselves. He says he has already proposed exactly that, and explains why he prefers it to the usual answer: "No, in fact, I've recommended that we do that exact thing because there's a lot of talk of having a regulatory agency. But the thing is that regulatory agencies, it takes a long time to get one established and their rulemaking is very slow." His plan has two parts. Step 1: A standing weekly call between the labs. "What I said, like, guys, what if we just have a call once a week just like you're saying…" Step 2: Rivals get early access to test every new model before it launches. "A week before we release a model, we give that, you know, we give access to our competitors to say, hey, guys, why don't you try out the new model, see if you see any problems with it." The mechanism that makes it work is competition itself: "I think competitors would keep each other honest in that situation." He gives an example of what the rival review would be meant to catch: "You know, if they say, oh, I was able to make a nuclear bomb with your AI is like, oh, we better fix that before you release it, type of thing." His next step is to pitch it to one rival directly: "So, I don't know. I guess I'll talk to Anthropic about this." When asked whether he could also raise it with Sam, or whether "the poison" is too strong there, his answer shows the plan's biggest weak point: "He's so deceptive, it's crazy."

There is a big opportunity for businesses right now. A new dataset focused on 1.5 million AI search-engaged sessions, 175 websites, 70 brands and 20 industries exposed something interesting. AI Search traffic grew 392% year over year. Transactions attributed to that traffic? Up nearly 600%. Revenue growth? Up more than 300%. Let's go through it. By the way, if you want to see whether your business is appearing across Google AI, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and broader AI search, start here. It's free: seo-stuff.com/free-audit Alright, so IDHL analyzed 13 months of AI-search referral data across 1.5 million AI-search-engaged sessions, 175 websites, 70 brands and 20 industries. Businesses in the U.S. and UK were included, and six major AI platforms including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, etc. So this wasn't one SaaS company or one ecommerce store seeing a random spike. The headline numbers were pretty remarkable. AI-search sessions: +392%. Transactions: +553%. Revenue: +312%. There has been a lot of chatter in recent months about how much smaller, in terms of raw numbers, AI search is compared to Google search. That is totally true. That said, a marketing channel does not need to become your biggest source of traffic before it becomes worth optimizing. If traffic is growing nearly 5x year over year and transactions are growing even faster, you probably want to understand why. That is something SEO Stuff (seo-stuff.com) helps businesses with on a daily basis. The especially interesting part is that transaction growth outpaced traffic growth, which shows that the commercial activity associated with AI Search grew even faster than the traffic itself. And that lines up with a pattern we keep seeing. People increasingly use AI to research products, compare vendors, check pricing, find alternatives, evaluate businesses narrow down options and *then* click once they already have a much clearer idea of what they want. Think about the difference between: "CRM software" and: "What's the best CRM for a 20-person real estate company that needs automated follow-up, integrates with Gmail and costs under $500 per month?" The second customer has already told the AI their industry, company size, required features, integration, budget and intent. The AI can do a lot of the research before deciding which companies to surface. If your company appears in that answer, you may be entering the journey much closer to the decision. And it is why AI Search Optimization needs to move beyond: "Did ChatGPT cite my blog?" The better questions are: Does ChatGPT recommend my company for commercial searches? Does Gemini? Does Claude? Does Perplexity? Which buyer questions cause us to appear? Which questions cause competitors to appear instead? And what happens after somebody visits the website? Traffic, leads, transactions, revenue - these are the metrics businesses actually care about. There was another interesting finding. ChatGPT accounted for roughly 91% of the AI-search traffic IDHL measured. So in this dataset, ChatGPT remains the dominant referral source by a huge margin, but the broader ecosystem is growing too. That is another reason not to build an entire AI Search strategy around one platform. You may get most of your referral traffic from ChatGPT today, but that does not mean your customers aren't researching you elsewhere, and it does not mean the distribution will look the same 12 months from now. The job is increasingly to make your company easy for all of these systems to discover, understand, compare and recommend. That starts with your own website. It should clearly explain what you do, who you help, what you sell, how much it costs, which problems you solve, which industries you serve, how you compare, which use cases you fit and what evidence supports your claims. A homepage and five generic service pages probably are not enough if customers are asking dozens of different questions before making a decision. That is exactly what the SEO Stuff Premium Content Bundle is built around: seo-stuff.com/premium-conten… Build deeper coverage across comparisons, alternatives, pricing, use cases, industries, problems, objections and buying decisions. Every useful question you answer creates another potential entry point into the research process. Then there is authority. Your website tells AI systems what YOU say about the company and then the broader web gives them additional evidence. Editorial publications. That is why the SEO Stuff done-for-you package combines both sides: seo-stuff.com/ai-seo AI-search-optimized content. Plus contextual DR50+ authority placements. IDHL also found something else interesting - AI Search is starting to show recognizable seasonality. Travel engagement rose around major planning periods. Retail and property also showed seasonal movement. That matters because it suggests people are increasingly using AI around real-world demand cycles. So if your busiest season is approaching, do not wait until demand peaks to start thinking about AI visibility. Make sure the content exists, the important pages are current, the product/service info is accurate, etc. And if you want to see whether your business is already appearing across Google AI, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and broader AI search, start here. It's free: seo-stuff.com/free-audit
Google just revealed why it sometimes ignores your site. Yes, even if you think you are doing everything right. This comes straight from Google’s John Mueller. A site owner recently took to Reddit with a frustrating problem. Their sitemap returned a 200, the XML was valid, nothing was blocked and Googlebot logs looked normal. Yet Search Console kept showing “Couldn’t fetch” and “Sitemap could not be read” for months. By the way, if you feel like you're doing everything right but still aren't showing up in Google, ChatGPT, Claude or broader AI search, let SEO Stuff take a look (it's free): seo-stuff.com/free-audit Mueller’s response was pretty blunt: “Micro one part of sitemaps is that Google has to be keen on indexing more content from the site. If Google’s not convinced that there’s new & important content to index, it won’t use the sitemap.” That is a really important point. A technically valid sitemap does not mean Google is automatically interested in crawling and indexing everything you publish. The broader quality and value of the site still matter. If Google does not see enough new, useful or important content worth discovering, fixing the XML file alone may not solve the underlying problem. And this connects directly to AI search. Google evaluates sites using signals around content quality, authority, freshness, internal linking, historical performance and external validation. If your strongest pages are difficult to discover or never make it into the index consistently, they also have fewer opportunities to surface downstream in AI-powered search experiences. That does not necessarily mean your site is bad. It may mean you have thin coverage relative to competitors, weak internal linking, poor structural clarity, little decision-stage content, limited external authority or not enough differentiation. This is exactly why SEO Stuff is structured the way it is. The done-for-you package combines decision-stage content, question-based headings, direct answers, internal linking and three DR50+ contextual authority backlinks: seo-stuff.com/ai-seo The goal is to give Google more useful pages to discover while strengthening the authority behind them. The Premium Content Bundle goes deeper: seo-stuff.com/premium-conten… It adds 60 long-form articles designed to expand topical coverage, strengthen internal linking, reinforce the categories and problems associated with the business and keep the site actively publishing useful information. The larger takeaway is simple. Technical SEO gets Google through the door. You still need to give it a reason to keep crawling. A perfect sitemap cannot compensate for a site with weak content, little authority or nothing meaningfully new to discover. And as Google Search becomes more intertwined with AI retrieval, getting your best information crawled, indexed and understood becomes even more important. If you feel like you're doing everything right but still aren't showing up in Google, ChatGPT, Claude or broader AI search, let Rightcited take a look. It’s free: seo-stuff.com/free-audit

Geoffrey Hinton (@geoffreyhinton) argues that chatbots can have subjective experiences, but not an inner theatre. "Now I'm going to show you that a chatbot can have a subjective experience, a current chatbot. It's got a camera, it's got a robot arm, it can talk, and we trained it up." "And I say, no, the object's actually straight in front of you, but I put a prism in front of your lens. And the chatbot says, oh, I see, the prism bent the light rays, so the object's actually straight in front of me, but I had the subjective experience it was there." "I made its perceptual system lie with the prism. And so now, it has a subjective experience in the same sense as we have, but that's not the sense in which most people think subjective experiences are." "So when I say chatbots can have subjective experiences, I'm not saying they have an inner theater full of these spooky inner things called experiences. Not a bit of it." "They don't have internal experiences, and nor do we, because that's not what subjective experiences are. They're hypothetical external states of the world." - Geoffrey Hinton, Turing Award winner and 2024 Nobel laureate in physics, at the Vienna Gödel Lecture 2026, TU Wien

Dario Amodei (@DarioAmodei) says the US and China could agree not to release AI models that bioterrorists could use. "Maybe I'll say two things, a thing that's small enough we might be able to do it and a thing that's big enough that I think is going to take a very long time." "The small thing is if we could, US and China could agree that we won't use AI to develop biological weapons or release AI models that bioterrorists could use to develop biological weapons." "We're already both signatories to the Biological Weapons Convention. If we could just extend that convention to that idea, that would be really valuable." "And then I think the more long-term thing would be working together to put a speed limit on the rate of AI progress. I think that's going to be very difficult because the incentives to pull ahead and the military advantage that you get from that are so large." "And honestly, I don't know if it's possible, but we should try." A pact against releasing models a bioterrorist could use needs someone outside the lab to test which models those are. - Dario Amodei, Anthropic co-founder and CEO, in a CBS Sunday Morning extended interview, September 2026

Box CEO Aaron Levie (@levie) says the company selling your AI model may not be the best company to choose which model your task uses. "It just stands to reason that if I'm going to sort of give a task to an agentic system, I just want that task to be cost optimized, like with accuracy as kind of holding constant." "And so who can do that? It's the company that doesn't care among, you know, 10 different models, which model is performing that task. It's like definitionally, you would want that to be the company that does not have a sort of a preference." On model-company subsidies: "I don't know how long that lasts though, because when these companies become public, I think they will be held to basically the same laws of capitalism that everybody else is." "The subsidization of tokens, I think it just has to be a temporary phenomenon." "If API is the high margin thing that is sort of paying for the subsidization, but you've moved all your customers over to the applied product and there's no API revenue. So like there is like an equilibrium you have to strike with this." - Aaron Levie, Box co-founder and CEO, in a Sequoia Capital interview

3 mistakes I see even great CEOs make with AI: 1. Expecting AI to understand a business nobody has written down. You buy seats, open a blank chat and ask how to improve margins. But the model has never seen a contract, read a customer complaint or heard why you lost your biggest account last year. You wouldn't hand pricing decisions to a smart stranger without explaining the business. Someone has to write down how it works and give AI that context before the answers become useful. 2. Letting every leader use it alone. Your CFO has a great prompt for the board pack, sales has built its own, and ops hasn't started. Nobody shares what they've learned, so the lessons stay buried in individual chat histories. Ask each leader to show the team how they're using AI to get work done. Our engineers work from one shared knowledge base and one set of skills, and we can see who uses which skill and how often. 3. Chasing every new model instead of building what compounds. A new model ships, and your leadership team spends a week comparing it with the last one. It's easy to get caught in that whirlwind when whatever you choose this quarter will be replaced next quarter. Meanwhile, the pages you write about how you price, why customers leave and what good work looks like in your business become more valuable every month, whichever model reads them. Models are replaceable. Swap them the day a better one ships. Your context and your judgment aren't. Spend your time there.
