Nope. Back to Mastodon for me...
Replying to @SSE
@SSE is holding my son to ransom. His electricity meter is registered to the wrong flat. Only SSE can correct this. He cannot switch supply until it is corrected.

@SSE are also not fitting a gas meter (there is supply to the flat, but no meter). Flat is getting colder and colder. This has been going on for months. Another supplier will not do it until the electricity meter registration is corrected by @SSE

@SSE do not answer the telephone and emails go unanswered. What can he do?
Useful thread if you are thinking of trying Mastodon.
Right. As a heavy tweeter/content creator who is now maintaining BOTH a Twitter and Mastodon presence, here is a short guide to what I have set up, how to do it and lessons I've learned, for others. TLDR: It's been WAY less hassle than I expected thanks to tips from followers /1
Wild Friday night... Sussing out Mastodon. Find me at @[email protected] A Scottish-based server. There is also a Glasgow based server/instance. #Mastodon #TwitterLayoffs

Something to note: if you are setting up a Mastodon account, even as a fallback: LIST YOUR MASTODON ADDRESS IN YOUR TWITTER BIO. There are scraper tools your followers can use that check their follows and import any that have a Mastodon address in the bio. Every little helps.

I live in taly: 8th economy in the world, with a GDP p/c 75% of UK. 41k immigrants arrived by boat Jan-Jul 2022. Yet here I can see my GP the same day and ambulances arrive in 30 mins or less. It’s almost like the two things aren’t connected. #stopblamingimmigrants

Interesting set of stats here about social attitudes about government in Scotland.
🧵 The latest Scottish Social Attitudes report (2021-2022) has been published. Here are some of the key findings. Two thirds (66%) of people in Scotland trust @ScotGov to work in Scotland’s best interests, compared with 22% who trust UK Government. gov.scot/binaries/content/do…

Imagine living in developed country where face masks are the norm and not stigmatised. That’s Japan with almost 10 times less COVID deaths than England.
