•The U.S. Senate may hold a floor vote TODAY which would overturn a 20-year moratorium on sulfide-ore copper mining on 225,000 acres of Superior National Forest land in the watershed of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) Wilderness in northern Minnesota. The Boundary Waters is the most visited Wilderness in the United States.  🛶 Enjoying the Minnesotan/Canadian wilderness by canoe or other lesser watercraft is one of our nations greatest available pastimes, and one I have personally enjoyed my entire life. We must protect these public lands from the rapacious capitalists threatening to turn them into a poisoned wasteland. •This vote in Congress would open the door to copper mining at the headwaters of this entire ecosystem. This kind of mining produces toxic pollution, including acid runoff and heavy metals, that can contaminate nearby waters. •The Boundary Waters supports a major outdoor economy that sustains thousands of jobs and generates over a billion dollars a year - built on clean water and intact public lands. But this vote would clear the way for toxic mining that puts all of that at risk. It would also set a dangerous precedent, making it easier to roll back protections for public lands across the country, including wilderness areas, national monuments, and national parks.  •This is a defining moment. If you care about clean water, public lands, and protecting places we can’t replace, now is the time to speak up. •Protect the Boundary Waters, and vote NO on House Joint Resolution 140. Let’s save this treasured place for all of us—forever. on.nrdc.org/4csRkwi

🚨BREAKING: Lawrence O'Donnell looked America in the eye tonight and said on live TV what many are thinking about Donald Trump's profane, perverse, filthy outburst on Easter Sunday to commit war crimes. "The 25th Amendment was written for yesterday at 8:03am."

Won @Vikings tickets in Miller Lite Lounge. Vikes website says kids under 2 yrs and 36” tall don’t need a ticket. We arrive and are told our baby isnt allowed at our seats because she’s not 21. She’s 9 weeks. Seriously? She going to snag a beer? Guess it’s Packer fandom for her!

Shoutout to the family that let us sit by them who also thought the policy was dumb. We took turns getting food and drinks from the lounge. Can’t wait to take our little girl to a @packers game where the hospitality will be better and family friendly! #GoPackGo

Shoutout to the nice family that let us sit by them in the upper deck. We took turns going and getting food and drinks from the lounge. Can’t wait to take our little girl to a @packers game where I know the hospitality will be way better and family friendly! #GoPackGo

The fact that all these Republican lawmakers are running around trying (& often, failing) to get specific carve outs in their own bill so THEIR community isn’t subject should tell you all you need to know. If they think it’s so great, why don’t they want it as-is for themselves?

BREAKING: Massive anti-Trump protest taking place outside the US Capitol building. I certainly don’t remember Americans protesting Biden’s presidency like this. Crowd size matters, right?

Worth the 6 minutes. Just listen. This man spoke perfectly for every single person who voted against MAGA. He spoke for everyone who voted against Trump.

Trump's mandate? It's very shallow. Trump's now under 50% in the popular vote. His margin ranks 44 of 51 since 1824. Weak coattails: 4 Dems won for Senate in states Trump won. (It was 0 in 2016 & 2020.) The GOP is on track for smallest House majority since there were 50 states.

The most brutal opening of 60 Minutes in the legendary program's history, laying bare the abomination of Trump's horrendous cabinet picks — which are based on fealty to a fascist, authoritarian demagogue rather than qualifications for the actual position.

So when Trump fires all non-partisan career professionals in government, replaces them with radical loyalists within every nook and cranny of the US government, and adds radical judges everywhere. And every one of you that voted for him finally wake up from your fucked up fantasy just like the folks that woke up after 4 years of the last shit show, only to realize it’s much much worse, and much more permanent, this time. When the cancer you caused has infected every bit of the American system and it can’t be unwound for a lifetime. What then? Do you beg this country for forgiveness for choosing fascism because you were conned into believing your eggs are too expensive because of Joe Biden? You just put Steve Bannon in charge of American policy. You just put Michael Flynn in charge of our military. You just put Alex Jones in charge of media and propaganda. You just put Stephen Miller in charge of immigration policy. You just put batshit crazy RFK Jr. in charge of health policy. You just killed free public education and privatized schools, which you will have to pay for. You just sealed the deal on a national abortion ban, because you’re demented if you think it’s not coming. You just radicalized the Supreme Court for a generation. You just made women less safe and less free. You just made this country an oligarchy with the billionaires quite literally in charge now. You just put in office the one person that believes a president is a king, with the fucking Supreme Court ruling to prove it in his back pocket! You just ushered in Fascism. Because your cereal costs more. Congratulations.

County Attorneys review claims of election fraud. County Attorneys deal directly with gun violence. County Attorneys handle our marijuana laws. And, if abortion is made illegal, County Attorneys decide whether to prosecute. Elect someone who will lead on these issues, not hide.

Replying to @Chase
@Chase rep tells us we’re eligible for a points bonus so we sign up for a card, spend the requisite dollars to earn the bonus (and @Chase gets all the transaction fees) just for @Chase to tell us their rep misinformed us and we won’t get the points or do anything about it. Wow.

Thank you @Chase for making it right!

ICYMI. Idaho passed a bill that allows each rapist’s family member (parents, aunts/uncles, siblings, grandparents…) to sue anyone aiding and abetting an abortion performed on the rape/incest victim for $20k each.
