Starting off day 2 of @a11yTO Conf with a talk by my friend and former colleague @danieldafoe. I learned a lot about the features and affects of ARIA outside of screen readers.
Just got my ticket for #a11yTO Conf! It's been a couple years since I last attended, but I'm excited to see and learn from the a11y community again.
🎉It’s back! The moment you’ve been waiting for — #a11yTO Conf returns Oct 16–17 in downtown Toronto.

I had a blast at @figma's Maker Collective Happy Hour event in Toronto tonight! Made some new connections and had some great conversations about all things design.
Super excited about an afternoon of learning with @figma today! I've been spearheading our team's variables initiatives since the feature's launch and am looking forward to adding more variables coverage (typography?!) to our design system.

Attending this @a11yTO meetup tonight! The GOV.UK design system is one I reference often, so I'm looking forward to their lessons learned when it comes to incorporating accessibility.
Our presenter for the next A11YTO meetup is David Cox!
David Cox is a web accessibility expert. While working for the GOV.UK Design System and the Ontario Design System teams, his mission is to make the web more accessible for Canadians with disabilities
As I continue to help grow the accessibility practice within RBC's design system, I will keep these tips in mind as I prioritize our future accessibility initiatives.
Accessibility learning opportunities was low on the GOV.UK's design system priority list, but they saw unexpected success! This gives me hope and motivation as I create more accessibility education through the design system for my teammates at RBC.
These are some awesome Dev Mode features coming to Figma. Looking forward to trying annotations to better collaborate with my development partners!
Coming next week: New features in Dev Mode to bring design + dev closer.
Annotations (!!), improvements to diffing, plugins, and the VS Code extension.

Looking forward to tonight's @a11yTO meetup about accessible design tokens, hosted by my friend Karen Hawkins from @LevelAccessA11y!
I had a blast at last night's book launch for @steven_lebron's Prehistoric! Loved hearing all the origin stories of the @Raptors and seeing the logo design process. Congrats, Alex!
Me with my Button component after seeing how Figma designs a Button with variables #Config2023
Excited for #Config2023! Looking forward to hearing all the talks and learning about all the new features 👀
Just finished working on a new accessibility presentation with @Sandeep72008373! We created an introductory level workshop that teaches automated and manual accessibility testing techniques. We look forwarding to sharing this with developers, designers, and testers at RBC.
