Earlier today, the audits @RepWittke and I ordered as co-chairs of the Joint Legislative Audit Committee to investigate so-called "diversity, equity, and inclusion" initiatives in Wisconsin's state government and the Universities of Wisconsin were released to the public. The results of these reports show us the extent to which DEI grifters profiteer off Wisconsin taxpayers with very little to show for it. Wisconsin should not tolerate, much less propagate, race-based discrimination masquerading as equality in its halls of government. Thanks to these findings, we can now more clearly see how DEI wastefully spends taxpayer dollars, and end it for good.

I've received a lot of questions recently about the constitutional items that will be on ballots for the fall elections this year. I wanted to spend some time breaking down what each question is asking and would do if approved by a majority of voters across the state. By voting YES on the first question, you are saying that the Governor should not be allowed to use his or her veto power to create, increase, or authorize the creation or increase of taxes or fees. A NO vote would say that you believe the Governor should be able to use his or her veto to create, increase, or authorize the creatiom or increase of taxes and fees in Wisconsin. A YES vote on the second question would forbid the state from closing churches, synagogues, and other places of religious worship during states of emergency, like a pandemic. A NO vote on this question would not prohibit the state from closing such places in Wisconsin during a declared state of emergency. On the third question, voting YES would prohibit the state from using someone's race or gender as the basis for discriminatory or preferential treatment. A NO vote would not prohibit the state from discriminating against or preferring groups based on race or sex.

Keeping Wisconsin communities safe from crime should NEVER involve releasing killers and drug dealers back onto the streets. But that's exactly what Tony Evers and his Democrat allies want to do. The Governor's new commutations board is meeting again tomorrow, and will hear from another batch of violent criminals and decide if they believe their sentences should be cut short. Governor Evers' soft-on-crime agenda is actively making life in Wisconsin communities more dangerous.

After an unnecessary two-year delay because of Governor Evers' veto, PFAS relief is headed to the Wisconsinites who need it the most. Proud that the first relief programs created by our landmark PFAS laws this session have officially launched.

Our budget surplus is growing closer and closer to $3 billion. The people of Wisconsin wanted it returned to them. But because Senate Democrats voted against our plan, those funds will sit unused in Madison instead of helping working Wisconsinites.

Happy 251st birthday to the United States Navy! Today in 1775, Congress authorized the creation of what would become the Navy by authorizing two vessels to serve under George Washington's authority pursuing British supply ships. From the Revolution to the Battles of Midway and Okinawa and into today, the Navy has kept us free on the seas and in the skies.

Murder. Homicide. Armed robbery. Arson. These are just some of the crimes committed by the dangerous criminals who are being advanced for potential commutations by Governor Tony Evers. Our soft-on-crime governor has already issued the most pardons in Wisconsin history. Cutting sentences short for killers, robbers, and arsonists would be an insult to victims and their families.

Tony Evers needlessly vetoed funding for 4 new state auditor positions out of the state budget. As co-chair of the Audit Committee, I firmly believe Wisconsinites deserve a transparent state government that works for them. Nothing can be gained from denying this accountability.

Tony Evers denied Wisconsin kids access to a new federal scholarship program that would reward both students and donors. Our so-called "education governor" vetoed the Legislature's bill to opt in to a new federal program, which incentivizes donations to scholarship funds that support both public and private students with a matching federal tax credit of up to $1,700. These funds would voluntarily come from parents and members of the community, not higher taxes...but thanks to the Governor's veto, Wisconsin students won't be able to claim them. will-law.org/wisconsin-could…

Another teacher accused of inappropriate behavior towards former students here in Northeast Wisconsin. Our audit into DPI's policies for handling grooming and sexual misconduct allegations will restore the accountability we're not getting from Superintendent Underly. fox11online.com/news/crisis-…
