BREAKING: We filed a suit today on behalf of Ruby Johnson, a 77-year-old grandmother and Montbello homeowner.
Her home was subjected to a terrifying hours-long search last January by a Denver Police Department (DPD) SWAT team.

This is huge, and Iām looking forward to what @jeremyjojola is going to uncover following this story. Itās basic knowledge not to stop on train tracks, and large trains of that size are hard to miss; I have so many questions.
It was such an honor to speak on behalf of @ACLUofColorado on Black Womenās Equal Pay Day this week. Thank you @CBWPA & @ProgressNowCO for organizing this 1st annual event! We were grateful to help bring awareness to the dire need for fair pay for Black women.
Earlier today, we joined @CBWPA, @ProgressNowCO, and other advocates and elected officials to honor Black Women's Equal Pay Day.
"Black women are disproportionately represented in lower-paying and less powerful jobs," said @EricaMarie1988.

Many people think the world of journalism can be this glorious place, and it can be very rewarding. But often, for local journalists, it is a demanding, difficult, and highly stressful industry. They work long days, going 10+ hours, on little sleep & little pay. #payjournalists
Denver Post journalists' pay hasn't changed since 2016. At bargaining today, our millionaire owners failed again to bring a fair wage proposal to the table.

Iām happy the next chapter in my professional life brought me to the @ACLUofColorado. Itās a great organization to support & work for. If youāre passionate about the work the ACLU does - you can support too! The link below will show you how. #NationalNonprofitDay
Whether itās defending abortion rights, protecting LGBTQ+ youth, or holding police accountable, weāll never stop fighting for our rights. For #NationalNonprofitDay, we hope youāll join us in creating a better, more just Colorado.

Next we hear from Asma Keeler from @ACLUofColorado āunfortunately we knew this was going to come for yearsā - āfirst and most importantly this opened the door for legislators to oppose abortionsā. #copolitics #AbortionIsHealthcare

The U.S. Supreme Court just reversed nearly 50 years of precedent and overturned Roe v. Wade, ending the federal constitutional right to abortion. Abortion is still legal in Colorado, and weāll fight to keep it that way, but this decision affects us all, wherever we live.

To every journalist who was at the scenes of the shooting spree and only days later worked long and difficult hours on the wildfires, thank you for keeping people informed in these crises.
So heartbreaking to see. After several hours of coverage yesterday, I knew today was going to show so much devastation, but it's still very hard to see. My heart is with the families impacted. š¤
Just a glimpse of some of the destruction from the #MarshallFire weāre seeing now that the sun is up. Absolutely heartbreaking.
This is a community not letting hate and violence overshadow love. š¤
HAPPENING NOW: A thanksgiving giveaway at Hinkley High School less than 24 hours after 3 students were injured in a shooting in the parking lot.
This was planned months ago. These organizations still chose to gather. Itās shows their resiliency.
