If we want a society with more compassion we have to promote the idea that every living thing capable of emotion is deserving of it. There can be no exceptions.

Kamala Harris supporters exist in a bubble where they overestimate her strength as a candidate.
WOW - 1000+ people for @PeteButtigieg and @scott_colom in a RED district in Mississippi. This video doesn’t even do justice to the energy in the room right now 🔥

The "Pete Buttigieg polls 0 with black voters" narrative is dishonest for multiple reasons. One is that his best favorability #s are with black voters. Another is that according to YouGov many black voters aren't familiar with him. The "don't know" among black voters here is 42%.

I don’t see how politicians think these kinds of non-answers benefit them. It just makes people cynical about them and politics in general. Someone who gives this kind of answer is not a particularly good politician. They’re not the best choice for a presidential nominee.
BASH: “Are you going to finish out your term if you win?” SHAPIRO: “Listen, the only thing I'm focused on, I'm going to give you the same answer I've given you multiple times, is this race for governor is winning a trifecta in Harrisburg so I can raise wages, codify abortion rights in Pennsylvania…” BASH: “Okay, that wasn't a yes for four years.” SHAPIRO: “That was my answer.”

What Scott did here was great. You have to literally ask people for their vote.
🚨 Mississippi Senate candidate Scott Colom on visiting Trump's rally: “I asked voters what mattered to them. You know what they said? Gas prices, grocery prices.” “Some of the people were there... not even there as Trump supporters.” One told him there was “nothing else to do tonight” and they were “gonna vote for me.”

Pete doing something with Scott Colom that Kamala couldn’t do with him because she avoids the press.
Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is rallying with Mississippi Democratic Senate candidate Scott Colom in support of his long-shot Senate bid. "This is one of many places I have seen around the country where there is extraordinary energy for change," Buttigieg says.

Another blow for Kamala Harris supporters. How many other members of the party would choose Pete over her? I suspect a majority.
Tim Walz when asked what advice he’d give the Democratic Party: “Pick Pete Buttigieg.” Link: edition.cnn.com/2026/10/26/p…

Walz was not referring to 2024 or whatever idea Kamala Harris supporters are pushing to make themselves feel better. They were talking about the problem with politics and how Democrats navigate that.

Listening to the entire interview, seems Tim Walz was genuine when he said “Pick Pete Buttigieg”. It fits with other things he was saying. He is not what the leftists who are criticizing him for what he said think he is. He said he’s not a “disrupter”, he wants to get along
I missed this tidbit the other day. 👀 While speaking at Georgetown on October 15th, Tim Walz was asked to give advice to the national party. His answer: "Pick Pete Buttigieg." It's around 19:20 in this video: youtu.be/dJvEr36Rs7I

Walz criticized the Kamala Harris campaign. Another indication that he was probably being sincere in what he said about Pete.

The reaction to what Walz said shows how important endorsements are going to be. Yet no one is talking about how they could affect the 2028 primary. That’s strange to me.

Democrats shouldn’t choose a presidential nominee who’s this easy to make fun of.
God I hope she runs again…

The "but Trump" rebuttal to any criticism of a politician is weird and short-sighted. Trump was a celebrity who had for decades been seen as a super successful businessman. He wasn't a typical politician who relies on their campaign to convince people to support them.
Replying to @politics_watch1
Does that really matter in today's environment? Trump can't give a speech and isn't exactly out there shaking hands and kissing babies.

To be clear as crystal, Kamala Harris is no Muhammad Ali.
Patrick Gaspard, Obama's political director, says pushback to another Harris run is like boxers that didn't want an Ali comeback: "They were saying that not b/c they were worried Muhammad Ali would fall flat on his face—they were worried he would win.” cnn.com/2026/10/26/politics/…

Why do Kamala supporters think it’s a boast that she got 75 million votes? That’s far less than Joe Biden got just 4 years before. And it was less than Trump! It’s nothing to boast about that you got less votes than Trump. At least Hillary got more votes than he did.
None of these things show Harris in a negative light. We had a campaign in 2024 and Fox News coined the phrase word salad, and Harris still got 75 million votes, and people who paid attention to politics voted for her the most.

Kamala Harris is the only person to lose the popular vote to Trump. It’s nothing to boast about. And it’s why it’s crazy that she’s even thinking of running again.
