The "experts ridiculed him" because the experts did the math. Musk's mechanism is vacuum wafer transport to skip pump-down. Pump-down is 30-60 seconds per tool, runs in parallel with processing, and totals maybe 15 hours out of a 2,700-hour flow. He's claiming 12x faster cycles by optimizing under 1% of the cycle.
The industry already has vacuum wafer transport, it's called a cluster tool. Nobody links a whole fab with vacuum because etch residue would poison every deposition tool downstream and wafers constantly leave vacuum for wet cleans and metrology anyway. And the burger line gives it away: wafers never touch fab air, they ride in sealed FOUPs, and a burger emits exactly the organic molecular contamination that destroys EUV optics. He picked the worst possible object to call harmless.
This is a man optimizing a term the industry solved 20 years ago, explaining it wrong, and getting credit for a 12x speedup his own mechanism covers 1/150th of.
Elon has been hinting at this idea for a long time now. He first talked about it when he said that you should be able to eat a burger in chip fab and it shouldn't matter.
Obviously all the "experts" ridiculed him but what he was trying to say is they should do some sort of "Hyperloop" system where the wafer is in a constant vacuum and it wouldn't matter how dirty the outside environment is.
Will be cool to see if this actually works. And at some point people will be like "he did WHAT?" Being all surprised and stuff but they should've just been paying attention. Elon is pretty open about all these tings.

If Anthropic is merging more than 30,000 code changes per day, why aren't the GitHub issues being assigned and addressed?
This is a great question on r/ClaudeAI.
I think there's a bigger question:
Why aren't Anthropic triaging this with a software factor?
There's a risk that the issues could be used for prompt injection, but you'd have thought if any organisation has the expertise to build a software factory that can review the issues, filter out the risky ones and assign the ones that matter to either another agent or a human for further review fix, it would be Anthropic.
Building such a software factory and letting us see it work would make a better marketing case study than claiming to be merging 30,000 PRs per day!

An Al Jazeera undercover investigation has exposed Turning Point UK CEO Jack Ross introducing reporters to Allan Nesbitt, a convicted criminal with alleged ties to the Ulster Volunteer Force, a proscribed paramilitary group. Ross is filmed discussing a menu of paid violence, from beatings and face-cutting to stabbings, shootings, and killings, while also paying Nesbitt thousands to stage a fake pro-Zimbabwe rally. In public, Ross condemns political violence. In private, he appears comfortable arranging it through a man who showed weapons on a call and claimed past experience with such work. The Conservative Party has suspended Ross’s membership, and Scottish police are reviewing the footage for possible criminality.
Turning Point UK is the British offshoot of Turning Point USA, the organization founded by Charlie Kirk. The investigation shows how casually its leadership treated the idea of hiring paramilitary-linked contacts for violence against rivals. This comes as questions continue about Turning Point USA’s own conduct, its finances, and the circumstances surrounding Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Erika Kirk and the American organization have not yet addressed the UK findings publicly.
How will Turning Point USA try to separate itself from this? Will they claim the UK group is fully independent, or will they stay silent while police examine whether their overseas CEO was negotiating contract violence? The public statements against violence do not match the private recordings.
