I think our game studio should be 100% AI free, for the foreseeable future. I’m not an AI hater, and i think AI can assist in making good things, but with the coming AI slop wave, avoiding all AI content will be an effective filter for many players to avoid a lot of trash.

To be fair to other developers, we unlike almost all developers are not programming or asset creation bound. We are bound by game design and our ability to hire great designers who want to make the kinds of games we want to make in Stockholm.

As a game developer focused on designing game mechanics, Should one forgo collecting wishlists, and just announce and release on the same day, now that people use AI to instantly copy any innovation? Or do you collect wishlists for a “Mystery Game”?

For the past few months I've been developing a Modified-Catmull-Clark-Mesh structure, and is capable of doing G2 surface transition with explicit topology. And I happened to see @cem_yuksel 's "G2-smooth Utah teapot" thingy a few days ago, decide to make one using my system:

Does every country have a right to Exist? I think there is a point where a country becomes so out of control that the world has a right to step in. Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan didn't have the right to exist. The world stepped in and together we forged fantastic peaceful nations.

When people criticize software they tend to overvalue: -Small binary. -Fast startup time. -Written in fast language. -UI Responsiveness. All great, but irrelevant if it doesn't fit the users workflow, existing data, or forces them to relearn basic tasks.

Linux is MASIVE, but it caters to an enormous amount of weird hardware configurations and use cases, that are critical to so many uses. The "bloat" is the feature.

MSVC is huge, slow to start, and crappy in all kinds of ways, but it lets you compile ancient code bases in ancient language versions, and while the debuggers is slow it tells you everything. Id rather wait 3 seconds to get the information io need, than instantly not.

I'm told there are now infinite games, but can someone please recommend a good single player FPS shooter i haven't played? Not too much story, no crafting, base building, just action. Think half-life, doom, quake, Titanfall2, COD, FAR CRY... I feel like I've played them all.

I wold happily pay a moder 1000$ for a Titanfall2 mod that doubles or tripples the amount of enemies in single player. I just want that campaign with way more heads to click.

A video I uploaded to YouTube 10 years ago, thinking "nobody is going to watch this", has just passed a million views. Its crazy. Looking back, there are things I would change in an update, but most of it holds true. youtu.be/443UNeGrFoM
