USF4 surpassed number of steam players it had on Feb 27th 2016 & has trajectory history to MAYBE beat it's Feb 25th peak today or tomorrow. That is just 9 days after the release of SF5. Add official rollback + new costumes could potentially make game almost as popular as 2015 era

Fun fact: SF4 tends to peak around West Coast USA post-work/school hours (5~10pm PST). SF6 tends to peak Japan post-work hours (3~9am PST) with anywhere from 2.5~4x as many players compared to USA's usual leisure hours. This is probably why Capcom doesn't listen to USA requests.

Coming back for the brief hot take that adding Ingrid to SF6 was the worst story design choice Capcom ever made. Ultimate Mary Sue god w/nothing to overcome/challenge for an arc, beats everyone, and adds multiverse from games that make little sense or history w/Street Fighter.

For the first time in the 9 1/2 years since Street Fighter 5's launch, USF4 has surpassed it in every current metric of popularity on PC. SF4 now has a higher monthly peak & more average players over the last 30 days. SF5 only has a higher launch peak now (and cross play)

Don't try to tell me that a re-release of SF4 with rollback, crossplay (and possibly a new balance patch) wouldn't be very successful for capcom and probably make back it's investment. Interesting to see that date wise seems Fatal Fury caused increase in popularity to SF4 & 5.
