I don’t think it is helpful to Matthias Jaissle or the players to keep mentioning Eddie Howe.
Howe is a Newcastle legend. If anyone deserved to see another season after a below-par campaign, I believed it was him.
But he is gone now. A part of #NUFC history. Time to move on.
You can respect Howe without using him as a stick to beat Jaissle. Dragging his name up during a sticky patch will only hinder this manager and team.

Heddiw, cofiwn y rhai a gollodd eu bywydau, a safwn ysgwydd yn ysgwydd â chymuned Aberfan, nawr ac am byth. 🤍
60 years ago, on 21 October 1966, 116 children and 28 adults were killed in the Aberfan disaster, caused by the negligence of the National Coal Board.
Today, we remember those who lost their lives and stand shoulder to shoulder with the community of Aberfan, now and always. 🤍
