But I do think people expected them — including Paramount executives themselves — that when they brought a fight like Ryan Garcia-Conor Benn to Paramount and they had paid Conor Benn astronomical money for his first fight of his agreement to be on an undercard that was on Netflix and then to come and have a big main event on Paramount with Ryan, they had expectation to get some big bang for their buck and it was very telling that they did not announce any numbers for that. ... They were embarrassed by the numbers I'm sure for that fight. And it's cost them a lot of money."

👀 Chris Mannix: "They found themselves in a position where there are fights that Zuffa, I think, would've been willing to pay for but other promoters were not willing to play ball. You've got all these other promoters out there who have really good fighters who had no interest in doing deals with Zuffa. And on that list is Raymond Muratalla — Zuffa wanted him, Top Rank wasn't about to let that happen. Gary Antuanne Russell — PBC not about to let that happen." [@MannixMoraPod]

Chris Mannix: "Why would PBC sacrifice Gary Antuanne Russell to Zuffa Boxing? Why would they do it? Zuffa is an enemy to all of the major promoters. Zuffa is trying to build up Shakur as the next big star in boxing. Why would PBC [or any other promoter] help with that? PBC's got a lot of work for Russell.
"They could go in-house, make a "Pitbull" Cruz fight. They could look over at Matchroom and say, 'Hey, you've got Dalton Smith, let's do a title unification.
"PBC has a deal with DAZN. I'm sure that DAZN would have something to say about a champion being loaned out to Zuffa to get beat. I don't see any upside for PBC or DAZN or anybody else to let Russell fight over there."
🚨 'ZUFFA BOXING'S DEBUT YEAR NOT EVEN C GRADE'
Dan Rafael: "[The Shakur Stevenson situation] is a terrible look. ... [Dana White has always said] 'Judge me after 1 year.' Well we're in October, we know what's left of the year. They have dates in November and December that theoretically are supposed to be in Riyadh. ... If you're going to judge them after one year based on what has already taken place and what we feel like is on the schedule for the remainder of the year. I don't even know if you get a C."
