This work is done together with @mwpen, and @ribonucleicacid group. Our groups have even more amazing works coming out these days, and you're all welcome to check them out as well!
This finding shows different optimization strategies: at moderate Ne, a global solution is selected for, as local optimization is impossible in face of mutational pressure and drift; at large Ne, local optimization of cis- loci is possible, and constraint is lifted.

This paper on TFBS evolution is finally out near the end of 2023. Now all my thesis chapters are published. 2023 also happened to my "big year" in terms of publication (not in terms of mental health and some other things though)...
