tinfoil on
it is a very beneficial to kill the internet for big labs since we’re are going to simply use only them for everything

stupid question: why we can’t rewrite linux to be compatible with real one but run a custom kernel that would do proper isolation?
was resisting for a year since it is not really my favourite thing (i am a Sega Dreamcast guy) but i liked the idea of trying to vibecode something my own
🤖 Made with AI
this is so hilariously bad while in Redwood City there is a Level Lock that is completely embeddable to your door without such ugly boxes
Here’s your first look at home accessories Apple has co-developed with LG. 🧵
1. LG Smart Deadbolt Lock
• The keypad rotates to open. You can use the included swivel pin to limit the rotation on one side so it doesn’t touch a wall.
• Settings for Touchpad Light Ring, Door Left Audio Alarm, and Lock Sound Volume.
• Supports automatic unlocking, tap to unlock, emergency power and master codes.
• Fits 2.375 in (60.3 mm) and 2.75 in (69.9 mm) brackets.
• Comes with 2 mechanical keys.
Serious question how you can even top this character? it is perfect: raceless genderless fluffy and blank (it is up to you to decorate)? i am thinking for a week and can’t find a better thing.
I took these photos during Connect, and thinking about the intersection of these technologies is extremely exciting. From VR, where I started, to wearables and now AI with Muse, there’s so much to explore.
If you asked me where to focus today, I’d 100% recommend learning agentic workflows inside and out. Grab a Quest 3/3S, start building, and keep Meta VR Glasses on your radar!
But never forget your core skills. Keep coding, designing, and applying your own taste. Don’t let the noise around bad AI practices keep you from exploring these tools and developing skills that I believe will be incredibly valuable going forward.
how to short figma? oh wait a sec i guess it is priced in

Hey David, Gayani here from Figma. You're right that our remote MCP server only accepts clients on our supported list, and Pi isn't on it yet. You can see the current list in our MCP catalog at figma.com/mcp-catalog. If you'd like Pi considered for a future addition, please fill out this form: forms.gle/qSvUawwznWyoj8Go7.
congrats on the launch! very big fan of such kind of ai companies and Kate is a resourceful founder to pull it off
Introducing my building an AI-native funeral company in public series.
Our generation does everything online and we care about experiences. But the one experience we’re all going to have? Still feels like a 100 years out of date.
Cringe.
The US has over 15,000 funeral homes. About 80% are family owned. Rising costs, staffing shortages, retiring owners. The people running these businesses are BURIED in admin while serving people in the toughest moments in our lives.
So where the hell does AI come in?
• Give owners one place to manage cases, staff, suppliers, and payments
• Help small teams serve more families by automating routine work
• Reach new customers through digital marketing and online booking
• Let families customize, plan and pay for a funeral online
• Expand the offering with pre-need plans, customized ceremonies and aftercare
Big-company infrastructure for small funeral homes.
Can we pull it off? The end goal: a personalized goodbye without the luxury price tag all over US.
Let's see!
That's a great detail, and a bit ironic. The thing you deploy drunk is the instructions for the agents that are supposed to be the safety net. You're tweaking the brain of the system while yours is impaired, and it still holds.
two impossible thing to explain:
1) that your wife is beautiful and smart
2) why distributed durable queue takes 50ms for each function call
literally failed for last year in both repeatedly explaining both fascinating
very cool unbelievable that it was pulled off
BREAKING NEWS: I am pleased to announce that the United States of America has entered into an Agreement with The Kingdom of Denmark, and Greenland, that gives the United States permanent control over security, and all other needs, in Greenland, completely addressing ALL of our many U.S. concerns. There will be NO COST to the United States! At my direction, we worked with representatives of Denmark and Greenland to guarantee that the United States will FOREVER have the complete ability to do what is necessary in Greenland in order to secure and defend the security of Greenland, and the United States of America. Additionally, from now on, no U.S. adversary can EVER have a base in Greenland, have a military presence in Greenland, or make sensitive investments in Greenland, without our express written approval. For over 100 years, Presidents have known the strategic importance of Greenland, but NONE of them were able to do anything about it. I am proud to be the President that permanently and conclusively addressed this very important situation. This is an “Infinite Life” Agreement, there is no end! We are very honored and proud of what has just taken place, and everything agreed to today will be cherished by the American People. We will immediately begin the process of developing a large Military presence in the appropriate part of Greenland, of which there are many. We will work with the people of Greenland in its development and construction. This solution is a great one for the United States of America, Denmark, Greenland, and all of our Allies. We look forward to working with the wonderful people of Denmark and Greenland toward a magnificent future with respect to this large, and highly strategic, parcel of land. We will be very protective of it! This is a dream come true for the United States of America, one that is very important, historic, and special. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP
post is right but so badly written, it is next to impossible to not touch disk when using swift ui which would easily exceed 8ms especially on older devices
SwiftUI isn’t native and here’s why SwiftUI apps may sometimes feel janky. It ditches the key element that made animations run so smoothly on iOS since the original iPhone: Core Animation.
In SwiftUI animations run in-app without CA backing. Block the main thread: SwiftUI ball stalls while UIKit’s keeps moving on the render server.
Insane take. This "uninterruptable" animations always were needed to await loading and make everything smooth. You cant build a working app that would always be sub 8ms. It is just so much work, you have to build an RTS on non-RTS system, which would always fail.
Shitty glitches is totally apple fault. You can reimplement BY HAND most of the navigation patterns in like a month without a single glitch.
The premature optimization of splitting animation work onto another process has done lots of harm to iOS (and web). For a brief while things were slightly smoother, but in exchange we ended up with uninterruptible animations and layout glitches from introducing unsolvable concurrency problems, plus various patches on top that ultimately make the system actually slower than if we just did things cleanly on main thread (or had access to proper multithreading in userland). Most tasteful UX cannot be decoupled in a computer sciency way
Smooth animations in general are great but calcifying the rendering pipeline for a decade is a huge cost
