Crime isn’t down, the reporting of crime is down. When victims stop calling or stop reporting thefts because they believe nothing will happen, the numbers may look better on paper, but the reality on the street tells a different story.
Public safety cannot be measured by selective statistics. It’s measured by whether residents feel safe and whether deputies have the support to do their jobs professionally and lawfully.
On Sept 22, Larry Bushart Jr. was arrested for posting this meme. He is still in jail. His first court date is scheduled for Dec 4.
