So today is a shout out for them.

NEW. The £100 energy payment will be paid via council tax system (likely into your bank account) from January 2027 for all in Council Tax Band A to D. England only so far, but other UK nations are getting funding to do it.
There is also a £100m available for people who will still struggle regardless of band.

Today's Poll: Do you support scrapping the gas Standing Charge, so the cost's shifted to increase the price of each unit of energy used?
Net result: Lower users pay less, higher more
[I did similar poll 3wks ago. Interesting to see if result changes now its to happening]

11,574 votes • 4 hoursAmazon paid a reported £160 million for Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May after the BBC let Clarkson go over a punch about a steak. The BBC had already paid him about £8.4 million for his share of the Top Gear business. It kept the name and lost the audience.
In the video below, the BBC asks him the next year what went wrong. He says the show kept getting bigger, "the lack of support was appalling," and that when you send Amazon a film, its people in Los Angeles "ring up and squeak with joy." At the BBC, he says, you never get that, "ever."
Clarkson and his producer Andy Wilman set up the company in 2006 to sell Top Gear's merchandise and overseas rights. BBC Worldwide took just over half in 2007 and bought the rest in 2012. The business took in £149 million in a single year, and the show reached an estimated 350 million viewers.
The BBC's side is short. In March 2015, after a day of filming in North Yorkshire, he was told the chef had gone home and was offered soup and cold meat. He punched producer Oisin Tymon, who was treated in hospital. His contract ended that month, a 3-year renewal was withdrawn, and Tymon later settled for £100,000 and an apology.
The BBC kept the name. Amazon signed the 3 presenters and Wilman in July 2015 for 36 episodes, and The Grand Tour became Prime Video's most-watched premiere to that point. The BBC's relaunch with Chris Evans opened to 6.42 million in May 2016 and fell to about 1.9 million overnight 5 weeks later, a record low. Evans quit the next day.
I think the BBC paid for the wrong asset. It bought 100% of the company that sold Top Gear, while the man people tuned in for was on a contract with an end date. If you pay for a business that runs on one person, his contract is worth more than his shares.
At the end of the clip he says Amazon paid "way less than all these speculations." So who came out ahead after that steak, the BBC that kept Top Gear or the 3 men who took its audience?
I post one story like this every day: a famous name, the money they made, and who ended up with it.
Which could of cost us qualification to the quarter finals..
These referees need either to be replaced or re trained..
Also what was the linesman’s view..?
Did he have any input..?
🚨 BREAKING: MICHAEL SALISBURY ISSUES PUBLIC APOLOGY TO ARSENAL FANS 😳💔
🗣️ Michael Salisbury:
“Yesterday, I made a serious mistake. I wrongly sent off Max Dowman, a 17-year-old, during the match between Arsenal and Fleetwood Town.
After reviewing the incident, I recognise that my decision was incorrect. I failed to see the full picture in the heat of the moment, and I take full responsibility for my actions.
Max is only 17 years old, with a bright future ahead of him. I understand the disappointment this decision has caused him, his teammates, Arsenal Football Club, and millions of fans.
It was never my intention to unfairly punish a young player, but I understand that intentions do not erase the consequences of my decisions.
I sincerely apologise to Max Dowman, Arsenal, and everyone affected by my mistake.
As a referee, I am expected to make the right decisions, and today, I fell short of that responsibility. I will learn from this experience and work to ensure such an error does not happen again.
I am truly sorry.”
— Michael Salisbury, Referee
What a crazy night at Highbury..
Playing Fleetwood Town in literally Arsenal colours..
For the Gooners to lose on penalties again at any stage of a competition is hard but this must hurt like hell..
Well said Sir..
🚨🎙️ Roy Keane on Harry Kane winning the 2026 Ballon d'Or over Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal:
"You know what? For once, I am actually enjoying an awards ceremony because we are finally seeing somebody who actually deserves taking that Ballon d'Or trophy home. No PR stunts, no nonsense publicity games—just pure, unadulterated football.
This is what it actually means to put the work in and have the results do the talking.
Did Mbappé and Yamal deserve to be in the conversation? Of course, the talent there is obvious. But if we are talking about who genuinely earned to be crowned the best in the world, it is Harry Kane. His standards never slipped, not for a single second. Look at what he has done for club and country this season. He went out, scored seventy-three goals in sixty-five appearances, including sixty-one in fifty-one games for Bayern Munich alone.
He didn't just pad his stats; he delivered in the biggest moments, netting fourteen times in the Champions League and twelve more with England, including six at the World Cup to lead his nation to a bronze medal. He led Bayern to the Bundesliga title and the DFB-Pokal. He has been an absolute machine.
This is what I appreciate about the game. Hard work, relentless consistency, and leading from the front—not off the pitch, but on it. Harry Kane winning it tonight is football at its absolute truest." #BallonDor

If you can name at least 5 players in this picture without Googling, you’re a REAL Arsenal fan. 🥶
So the age limit on Personal Pensions keeps going up until it reaches 80 for men in possibly 2030..?
Why pay these
Ni contributions if there’s no way of knowing if you will ever reach an age to collect it..?
Seems like a scam/scandal to me..
🗣️ Petr Čech on the Ballon d’Or organisers naming Unai Simón Goalkeeper of the Year over David Raya:
“I honestly can't believe what the Ballon d'Or has become. Is this a football awards ceremony or a FIFA World Cup winners' celebration? Are we really judging an entire season by a seven-game tournament?
It's embarrassing. David Raya has won THREE consecutive Premier League Golden Gloves, kept 19 clean sheets in the league and nine more in the Champions League. Yet somehow, that's not enough to make him the best goalkeeper of the year?
Unai Simón deserves credit for his World Cup performances, but individual awards should recognise consistency across an entire season, not just international tournament success.
Raya has proved himself week after week at the highest level. If we're going to ignore that kind of consistency because another goalkeeper won the World Cup, then what exactly are these awards meant to recognise?
The Ballon d'Or organisers need to explain their criteria because decisions like this make a mockery of the entire process.

Strange huh..
David Raya of Arsenal conceded a total of 31 goals across all major competitions (Premier League and UEFA Champions League) for Arsenal during the 2025–26 season..
Surely the winner..?

He has. He knows exactly what he’s doing. Create traffic chaos all over the city, create more gridlock and congestion and then charge (fleece) drivers in the name of reducing the very congestion and pollution he himself creates. It’s evil yet genius in a way.
@ExPatCabby retweeted
The idea that he thinks this means “more space less traffic” is so moronic it is laughable. If you put more traffic into less space you get more congestion, which is exactly what has happened! He hasn’t got a clue.
What a year for HK..
Such a shame the World Cup was beyond the English team..
That would have made his career..

🚨⚠️THE SCANDAL OF THE CENTURY⚠️ NOT EVERYONE RECEIVED THE SAME VACCINE
The European Parliament drops a real bombshell:
In a shocking admission that validates what millions suspected, the European Parliament confirmed that the rollout of the COVID vaccine was a calculated experiment with human lives. Not everyone received the same formula—some got a low-concentration mRNA dose while others received what whistleblowers call "the lethal injection"—a deadly amount designed to kill rather than protect.
The COVID vaccine wasn't the same for everyone. Some batches were light. Others, according to whistleblowers, were loaded to the brim.
But the deception runs even deeper—an alarming procedural order keeps both the public and even doctors from being fully informed. There are two sets of adverse data: one that pharmaceutical companies keep hidden, and another carefully curated for public consumption.
⚠️And the EMA ALREADY KNEW IT and perhaps the most damning part: According to MEP Marcel de Graaff of FVD, the EMA—the equivalent of Health Canada—knew that mRNA vaccines neither treat nor stop the transmission of COVID-19. Worse still, they hid evidence that vaccinated people were MORE likely to catch the virus.
An unprecedented crime against humanity 🔥
