You MUST write. Write about what you see, what you read, what you learn. Write about your fears, your desires, your disappointments, and the little things that bring you joy. Write to a friend, to a stranger, or simply to yourself. It matters very little who reads it. Have you ever observed how a thought moves through your mind? How quickly you accept something as true, how easily you deceive yourself, how often you repeat the words of others without really understanding them? When you write, you give yourself an opportunity to examine these things. To question what you believe, to discover what you actually feel, and perhaps to see something you had never noticed before. But write without trying to appear wise or intelligent. There is nothing to prove. Let writing become a way of observing yourself. For how can you understand the world if you have never learned to observe your own mind?
