The way people are suddenly shitting themselves about AI is the way they should have been shitting themselves about climate change for the last 40’years.

Therapy can only do so much if you’re not able to get your basic needs met. Mental health is affordable housing. Mental health is free healthcare. Mental health is free education. Mental health is food security. Mental health is financial stability. Therapy can’t fix the system.

This is what Google's AI expansion looks like on the ground 🀬 Forests destroyed, topsoil stripped and brown runoff reportedly flowing into a local stream, all before environmental impact assessments were completed. Finnish authorities had to step in and order work to stop. So much for Google's green credentials. Its sustainability advertising means very little when the reality is this. Corporate hypocrisy at its finest.

Yesterday on fallow land I saw plants that once buzzed with bees & insects before 2000… now silent. Pesticides didn’t just kill pests. They wiped out the pollinators that keep us alive. No bees = no food security. This is environmental terrorism by design. Hold the chemical corporations accountable.

For Africa, climate change is not about the future. It's about now. Our crops failing, our lakes shrinking, our people displaced β€” while boardrooms thousands of miles away count record profits. We don't have a climate problem. We have a justice problem. #ClimateJustice

Capitalism told us nature has no value until it has a price tag. So forests became timber. Rivers became dumping sites. Atmosphere became a carbon landfill. You can't sell what you destroy and call it progress.

We don't lack solutions. We lack accountability. We have solar. They invest in oil. We have conservation. They have deforestation contracts. We have climate science. They have PR firms to deny it. Name the system. #ClimateJustice

People are easier to govern when their suffering is framed as a personal failure rather than a systemic problem.

It's become painfully clear that structuring our whole society around maximizing profit instead of the wellbeing of people and planet was a really terrible idea.

Here’s a radical idea: Let’s not let Big Tech Oligarchs replace the human race.

Today, millions of Americans at nearly 3,000 early voting events across the country are coming together to say: NO to authoritarianism NO to oligarchy NO to a rigged economy NO to Kings Our job: Educate. Organize. Get your friends to vote.

If our leaders in Congress actually did their jobs, came together, and did even one thing to save lives after every school shooting, this would end. Every other developed country has figured out how to stop school shootings, and so can we. We can disagree all we want on solutions, but we can't let that distract from what we all agree on: doing nothing is not an option.
Authorities in Bend, Oregon say a shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School has left behind multiple victims, including children. A shooter was shot and killed, police say. At least two people were taken to a local hospital for treatment, but information on their conditions and total number of injuries remain unclear. cbsn.ws/4zy6Mky

Living a moral life in an age of bullies requires collective action; it cannot be done alone. Each of us must organize and participate in a vast network of moral resistance. From this solidarity we will grow stronger. This is what our current moment requires.

Imagine a smoke alarm that has been screaming for decades, while the people in the house argue about whether there’s really a fire. The room gets hotter. The smoke gets thicker. The noise gets louder. And instead of putting out the fire, they insist the alarm is lying, blame the people who installed it and argue that the house has always been this hot. That is climate denial.
