Puello needed to realize where he was
Some fighters go to another level when they are in this type of fight. They test the mental and heart of their opponent. They try to separate themselves.
Smith has to see that Puello does not want any aggression. Smith needs to put his foot on the gas right now. The fight would open right up for him.
These scores can be all over the place. Puello is always in close fight because he lets his opponent dictate what type of fight it’s going to be.
Puello doesn’t mind if the fight stays at this speed and distance.
Smith needs to look for combinations and stay in close when he gets there.
