Curtis Beasley is scheduled for execution in Florida tomorrow. His appeal raises an important point: who gets executed rests solely in the fate of one man. It’s hard to imagine something more arbitrary than that.

Gov. DeSantis has signed a death warrant William Lee Thompson, setting his execution for October 13 at 6pm. Bill was sentenced to death for the 1976 murder of Sally Ivester in Dade county.
There are currently two executions scheduled in Florida: Curtis Beasley on September 29, and Bill Thompson on October 13. If carried out, they will be the 16th and 17th executions in the state this year.
We will have more information next week. For now, please take a moment to sign the petition for Mr. Thompson here: bit.ly/SpareThompson
