The #49ers and #Bears are two teams prepared to be very active on the trade market and I’m expecting both teams to make some real noise. I discussed with @Realrclark25 on #ThePivot:

Richard Sherman believes the 49ers should move on from Jack Jones: “I thought the safeties would be an issue this season. Ji'Ayir Brown and Malik Mustapha have played outstanding football. But Jack Jones is kind of a mystery. He’s the 50/50, you don’t know what you’re gonna get out of him and that’s been an issue. I think they’re gonna have to look at free agents or look for a trade and find another veteran corner outside of Deommodore Lenoir and Renardo Green— that can go in there and play solid football. Every time they put Jones in there in a critical situation, it ends up being an issue. I don’t think he’s made enough big plays so far for this team to justify keeping him.” I agree, the 49ers need to release Jack Jones via: @RSherman_25

"Teams win team & lose. He was a big part of why they lost. He was a big part of why they were still in the game. There's a couple throws he wants back. I didn't think he was his his best but I also don't think it was all on him." @ButcherBoy415 on Brock Purdy's day

"It really was probably the worst day you could have as a 49ers fan 'cause not only did you lose, the 2 other teams in your division that you wanted to gain ground on specifically the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams, they both won." @Spadoni_Joe on the 49ers loss

“Losing is never great. But when you do lose, especially in this organization, it makes everybody really just look at themselves in the mirror, and all I think it’s gonna do is spark a bigger fire underneath us.” George Kittle says he definitely thinks this loss will “sour” the 49ers bye week, but that’s a good thing 👀

“That’s the most important thing, protecting the ball. It’s the number really in our organization. We were moving the ball, we got to protect the ball through and through, and starts with me at quarterback.” Brock Purdy takes responsibility for the 49ers struggles on offense.

George Kittle was happy to see improvement in Jordan Watkins: “I think the more reps you get, the more confident you can become. Jordan’s a guy who didn’t play a lot last year, and didn’t play a lot early on this season, I think he might have been a healthy scratch early in the season. Injuries suck, but the one benefit of injuries is you get to see other guys take advantage of their opportunity. Jordan’s out there, he’s done a great job with his blocking stuff…..He’s taking steps and becoming a good player for us”
