Want to see what genocide looks like in Canada? Read this mother’s plea for the life of her daughter. This mother, who is an Indian residential school survivor as well as her mother before her. The land dispossession, assimilation, racism, of colonialism & the abuse, violence of the residential schools- all caused intergenerational trauma. And this is the residual effect. It’s our people you see on the streets & in every adverse statistic. Our people continue to die because of this genocide. God speed healing 💔
