.@SabrinaSiddiqui asks tough, fair questions. No journalist should be harassed for doing their job.
We want to express our continued support of our colleague @SabrinaSiddiqui who, like many South Asian and female journalists, is experiencing harassment for simply doing her job. Press freedom is the hallmark of any democracy and PM Modi leads the world's largest democracy.

Idaho's hostility towards public records and public information will never cease to amaze me, even two decades into covering crime in the state.

Adventures in government opacity.
For 10 years I've been getting sign-in sheets for bill hearings from WA legislative committees, often within hours of asking. Looks like those are now getting routed through public records office. This could allow #waleg to delay requests about who supports/opposes bills.

The @WhiteHouse working group does not have the capacity to coordinate interagency work, much less implement it all. @POTUS should issue a new EO & establish a Federal Advisory Committee for open government, modeled on the President’s Council of Science and Technology (PCAST).
