A new space at Parkview Early Education Center is giving Fairview Park’s youngest learners a quiet place to pause, process their emotions, and begin learning self-regulation skills.
The new John’s Safe Place at the EEC, created through the John C. Haney Foundation, is one of the latest additions to a growing network of mental health support spaces in Northeast Ohio schools.

💧 Last month, seventh-grade science students at Mayer Middle School welcomed Drink Local Drink Tap, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing water equity and quality issues around the world.
Students learned about the importance of clean water, the challenges many communities face in accessing it, and ways they can make a difference through environmental stewardship and community involvement.
“The students enjoyed learning about just how deeply water affects us and how we can all make a difference,” science teacher Erin Frank said.
Thank you to Drink Local Drink Tap for providing a meaningful learning experience that connected science, global awareness, and service. 🌎
