Weird week. But I’ve got to be happy with the outcome!

Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good 😅
I am spending my Sunday evening watching a diabolical game of football, counting up a Centre Back's defensive contributions (Just 2 by HT)...
I used to be fun. I think.
It would be a really good day for Muharemovic to get his first PL goal.
The way today is going... it's probably more likely to go into his own net.
Going live at 4pm to answer all your FPL GW8 dilemmas ahead of the deadline! 🚨

This got me thinking, if we removed all the single outlier performances (top xG Gameweek) for each midfielder, where would they rank?
So I did the top 7 by xG so far, and added Palmer/Rogers for good measure...
Mbeumo: 3.95 - 1.76 = 2.19 (1st -> 2nd)
Saka: 3.62 - 1.38 = 2.24 (2nd -> 1st)
Tavernier: 2.89 - 1.19 = 1.70
Fernandes: 2.67 - 2.02 = 0.65
Hinshelwood: 2.33 - 1.41 = 0.92
Foden: 2.22 - 0.87 = 1.35
Gross: 2.16 - 0.82 = 1.34
Palmer: 1.45 - 0.66 = 0.79
Rogers: 2.06 - 0.96 = 1.10
Long story short, Mbeumo moves from 1st to 2nd place (behind the injured Saka) 😊 Ipswich game being removed does make a difference, but so does the outlier games for all the other options!

I agree hes a great pick. But i do think the data needs to come with a caveat of the ipswich game inflating it.
8th for Xg per 90 for midfielders if you remove it
