Africa's climate resilience hinges on home-grown solutions. We must bridge the $40B adaptation funding gap to safeguard lives and livelihoods. Let's empower local innovations and drive global action. newsweek.com/africa-must-nur… #ClimateJustice #AdaptourWorld

Thank you @Tsinghua_Uni for the incredible opportunity to discuss the urgent need for climate adaptation at the Climate Change Global Lecture. As we face unprecedented climate challenges, it is imperative to double down on adaptation finance and action. This is not just a financial commitment, but a moral obligation to protect those hardest hit by climate change. Through initiatives like the Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program #AAAP and our efforts in Asia, we have already mobilized billions, impacting millions of lives. Together, with steadfast commitment and global cooperation, we can secure a sustainable future for all. #ClimateAction #GCA #AdaptOurWorld

It was inspiring to meet with the @GCAdaptation Bangladesh team in preparation for my official visit to Hon'ble Prime Minister @Sheikh_Hasinaa and her esteemed cabinet. The commitment of @GCAdaptation to those living on the frontlines of the climate crisis is critical. I eagerly anticipate our visit to Chattogram where we will explore ways to further support their crucial efforts.

Thank you, Hon. Dr. Abul Hassan, Finance Minister, for your unwavering commitment to strengthening our productive partnership. Together, we are building resilience in the face of global economic challenges exacerbated by climate change.

It was a privilege to visit Chattogram and listen and learn from climate-vulnerable communities on the frontlines of our climate emergency. Their insights and ownership of their locally-led People’s Adaptation Plans are invaluable for guiding international financial institutions. Together, we will build a more resilient future. #Chattogram #AdaptOurWorld #LocallyLed
