@FlagBarbados
We have already approached you via email regarding the registration status of the following vessels, but the required details have not been provided:
NAUTICAL ECHO – IMO No. 9300829
HORIZON CHASER – IMO No. 9661845
Seafarers and their families continue to face serious difficulties due to the operation of shadow vessels. We request your urgent confirmation on whether these vessels are registered under the Barbados flag and hold valid registration documents and P&I certificates.
Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Seafarers Brother Nishant Urinathan Died onboard MT Celestial flag Aruba (Fake) due to shortage of Medical Assistance. His mortal was kept onboard outside accommodation with cold water bottle due to non availability of frizzer for couples of days at Hormuz. Why not accountability can be decided for murdering innocent seafarer ?? @IMOHQ @ITFglobalunion @TankerTrackers
"Fake flag registries are killing innocent seafarers at sea"
The syndicate of vessels with fake flags and no (or fake) P&I insurance is a direct threat to seafarers’ lives.Remember the tragic incident on MT Celestial, where a seafarer died onboard in the Hormuz due to lack of medical support. The vessel claimed Aruba flag, but the flag state denied any registration when FSUI approached. The same issue is seen with:
• BLOOMING DALE (IMO 9125724)
• ASTRID 1 (IMO 9176656)
• CORAL WAVE (IMO 9254422)All shown as Aruba-flagged, yet the flag state has no record of them.Sending seafarers on such vessels is no less than sending them to their death. We urge the @IMOHQ, @shipmin_india @MEAIndia @DrSJaishankar @ITFglobalunion to lodge formal complaints with the IMO so that all member states are alerted and these vessels are denied entry globally.#SeafarersLivesMatter #FakeFlags #FSUI #Hormuz #ProtectSeafarers
How many more seafarers must die before the world acts?
MT Azure Sky (IMO 9546708) is sailing with a fake Guatemala flag. The Flag State has confirmed the vessel is not registered with them. Yet it continues to operate.
This is not a technical error. This is a deliberate fraud that leaves seafarers unprotected, without insurance, and without rights. When something goes wrong, there is no flag, no accountability — only abandoned families.
Fake registries are not just illegal. They are death traps for seafarers.
@imohq — how many more must suffer before real action is taken?

Mental health matters at sea.
The ITF’s global #MindAtSea campaign promotes mental health awareness, suicide prevention and wellbeing support for seafarers. Because every seafarer deserves to be heard, supported and protected.
It’s OK not to be OK.

Amid repeated casualties at sea, two Indian seafarers Mr. Kunal and Mr. Ashis have been abandoned for over 12 months onboard MV Maridive 515 (Flag: Moroni/Comoros) without wages.
Signed off more than two months ago, they remain stranded in Bushehr, Iran. The owner has abandoned them and holds no registered licence in India.
We urgently request @MEAIndia, to arrange their immediate repatriation. They are trapped in an active war zone.

Another Indian seafarer killed. MSV AL JUSUFI struck by an unidentified aerial object off Oman on 2 Nov. One of our brothers, Gandhar Nahim Ajij from Gujarat, lost his life. 13 others rescued by the Omani Coast Guard.
How many more? Hormuz, Black Sea, Red Sea — seafarers continue to die while governments and international bodies issue advisories that cannot stop drones, missiles and projectiles.
Advisories are not protection. Seafarers are civilians, not combatants. The world has failed them.
We demand:
Immediate, enforceable protection measures
Accountability for attacks on commercial shipping
Full support, compensation and justice for families
How many more must die before real action is taken?

⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE ⚠️
On Nov 2, the Indian MSV AL JUSUFI, carrying 14 Indian seafarers, was struck by an unidentified aerial object while navigating near the coast of Oman.
While 13 crew members safely evacuated and were rescued by the Omani Coast Guard, I am deeply saddened to report that one of our seafarers, Gandhar Nahim Ajij from Gujarat, tragically succumbed to his injuries. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this hour of immense grief.
The Ministry and Indian Embassy in Oman are in contact with local authorities to ensure immediate assistance for the 13 survivors and facilitate the swift repatriation of both the surviving crew and mortal remains of our deceased seafarer.
