It goes something like this: "A man living in a cave in the mountainous region of Afghanistan near death on dialysis suffering from kidney failure armed with a laptop and a cell phone was somehow able to command 19 pissed off Arab Muslim extremist 7500 miles away in the states to commandeer 4 commercial jets they had never flown before armed only with box cutters while evading the most sophisticated air defense system in the world for over an hour and crashing three of the four aircraft into buildings at an incredible speed with military pin point accuracy on their first attempt!" Now...after having read this, if you originally fell for this narrative, don't you feel a little stupid for having done so? I did briefly and I do. Regardless of what the Community Notes states, bin Laden denied responsibility for 9/11 publicly on numerous occasions. He was a former CIA operative serving with the US-backed mujahidin during the Soviet-Afghan war in the 80s double-crossed by the US and used as patsy by them on 9/11. The exact date is debatable but he died of kidney failure sometime well prior to his staged extra judicial murder by Navy Seals in Abbottabad, Pakistan on May 2, 2011. Bin Laden was on the FBI Most Wanted list for embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania but not for the crimes of 9/11. When asked why this was the case, in 2006, FBI Public Spokesperson Rex Tombs stated that the reason was because "the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Osama bin Laden to 9/11".
