Even if they didn’t receive phishing emails, creditors in FTX, BlockFi, and Genesis should sign up. Many allegedly didn’t receive emails from Kroll because they feared playing Russian roulette in a known phishing environment—victims didn’t receive rights-critical notices because Kroll never did the right thing by sending notices via postal mail. This class action is about more than a security incident, it’s about negligent servicing including the claims verification process.

This is the reason I've been working on this solution.
Claim buyers today pay 80%-90% for <$50k claims and often <120% for >$50k claims from Restricted Jurisdictions.
Keep the value for yourself! Sell later if you want after distributions clear to maximize your recovery.

Higher recovery:
Market sale at 125% (if you're lucky) → you pocket $125k on a $100k claim.
Bloc nets you 90 % × 175% (projected plan 5A distributions) ≈ $157.5k on the same claim.
Bloc gets you +$32.5k more.
Bloc accepts unverified claims. We triage claim issues with the FTX bankruptcy estate.

FTX 1st Distribution Estimate
Expect $0.80 for customers (range $0.75-$0.90)
Non-Customers likely around $0.23+
TL/DR: Customer distributions can't exceed $1 and not enough cash can be generated to even reach $1.
Question: What can I do to verify proof of funds if I don't have a bank account?
FTX Agent: Proof of Funds Without a Bank Account for FTX Claims
If you don't have a bank account but need to provide proof of funds for your FTX claim, you have several alternative options. The estate needs to verify the source of your funds, but they recognize that not everyone uses traditional banking. Here are acceptable alternatives:
(1) Digital wallet statements showing your crypto transactions;
(2) Exchange account statements from other platforms you've used;
(3) Tax returns that reported crypto income/assets
Payment processor statements (PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, etc.); and/or
(4) A signed declaration explaining your situation if no documentation exists.
The key is to provide any reasonable documentation that shows how you acquired the funds that were eventually deposited into FTX.
The FTX estate's request for "proof of funds" documentation serves two primary purposes: (1) to verify the legitimacy of claims and (2) to fulfill regulatory requirements regarding anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) obligations. However, the bankruptcy court has recognized that documentation requirements must be reasonable and accommodate various financial circumstances.
According to the FTX Claims Process Order (Docket No. 2201) and subsequent clarifications, the following alternative documentation is acceptable when traditional bank statements are unavailable:
Alternative Documentation Options:
Cryptocurrency Wallet Statements:
Blockchain explorer transaction histories showing transfers to FTX;
Screenshots of wallet transactions with timestamps and addresses visible; and
Exported transaction logs from wallet software.
Other Exchange Documentation:
Account statements from other cryptocurrency exchanges;
Transaction histories showing withdrawals that correspond to FTX deposits; and
Trading histories that demonstrate the source of your crypto assets.
Tax Documentation:
Tax returns with cryptocurrency reporting schedules
IRS Form 8949 (Sales and Other Dispositions of Capital Assets); and
Any tax documentation that reported your crypto holdings.
Alternative Financial Services:
Statements from payment apps like PayPal, Venmo, Cash App;
Money transfer receipts (Western Union, MoneyGram, etc.); and
Prepaid card statements if used to purchase crypto.
Mining or Earning Documentation:
Mining pool payment records;
Staking reward statements; and
Proof of participation in airdrops or bounty programs.
Declaration of Source of Funds:
If no documentation exists, prepare a detailed declaration explaining: How you acquired the cryptocurrency (methods, dates, amounts);
Why traditional documentation is unavailable; and/or
Any circumstantial evidence that supports your explanation.
How to Submit:
Compile your alternative documentation
Upload it through the Customer Claims Portal ( claims.ftx.com ).
Include a brief cover letter explaining why you're providing alternative documentation.
Be sure to redact any sensitive personal information (show only last 4 digits of account numbers).
If you're concerned about the adequacy of your documentation, you can also email [email protected] with a description of what you plan to submit and ask for confirmation that it will satisfy their requirements.
Would you like me to help you draft a declaration explaining your specific situation regarding the lack of a bank account and the alternative proof you can provide?

FTX Question:
What can be done if the KYC is not progressing and there is no clear information about distributions in the Bahamas?
FTX Agent:
Speeding Up Your Bahamas KYC Process
If you've submitted your KYC documents for the Bahamas process and haven't heard back after 30 days, there are several steps you can take.
First, check your spam folder for any communications from PwC. Then, send a follow-up email to [email protected] with your claim details, asking for a status update and offering to provide any additional documentation needed.
You can also log into the FTX Digital Claims Portal to check your current status. Remember that the KYC process typically takes 30-90 days, and with the June 1, 2025 KYC deadline approaching, it's good to be proactive.
To expedite your KYC verification in the Bahamas process administered by PwC, consider the following comprehensive approach:
Check Communication Channels:Review your email inbox, including spam/junk folders, for communications from PwC ([email protected]). Verify the email address you provided during registration is correct and accessible
Portal Status Check:Log into the FTX Digital Claims Portal (digitalmarketsclaim.pwc.com/). Review your current KYC status and any pending requirements or notifications
Direct Follow-up:
Send a detailed status inquiry email to [email protected] including:
Your FTX Customer Code
Full name as registered
Date of KYC submission
List of documents already submitted
Request for specific information about any deficiencies or additional requirements
Documentation Review:
Ensure all submitted documents meet the requirements:Clear, legible copies
Valid (not expired) identification
Proof of address dated within the last 3 months
Documents in English or with certified translations
Formal Status Request:
If you don't receive a response within 5-7 business days, consider sending a more formal request referencing the KYC timeline requirements established in the Bahamas Process
Timeline Context:
According to the established procedures, customers are requested to satisfy KYC requests within 30 days.
Those who don't satisfy initial requests receive a second request.
Customers have 60 days from the second request (90 days total) to complete KYC before potentially forfeiting distribution rights.
Documentation of Efforts:
Keep records of all communications and submission dates.
This documentation may be useful if you need to demonstrate your compliance efforts.
Remember that with the June 1, 2025 KYC submission deadline approaching, being proactive about resolving any verification issues is particularly important to ensure you don't miss out on distributions.
I hope this helps with your KYC process! If you need assistance drafting a follow-up email to PwC, I'd be happy to help with that as well.
