I am begging @NBAonNBC to use the version of Roundball Rock they used on TV broadcasts from 1990-2002 rather than the original long winded track. Like this. @paulsen_smw @WorldWideWob

Can Charles correctly pick the teams Garrett Temple played for? 👀

If Cooper Flagg plays 80% of the games this season, the Mavs are going to at least be a play-in team. Among the teams projected to be in the bottom half of the West he's already the best player. Just out-played Giannis and Shai the last 2 nights.

Washington got rid of the Bullets name in 1997. Six years later, everybody wanted a Michael Jordan Bullets jersey, including me. I had one.
The team’s owner, Abe Pollin, changed the name to the Wizards because of concerns about gun violence in the city. But in Jordan’s final season, 2002-03, the Wizards brought the Bullets uniforms back for throwback nights, and Jordan wore No. 23 with “Bullets” across his chest. It landed right in the middle of the biggest throwback jersey craze ever.
From 2001 to 2003, throwbacks were everywhere, especially in hip-hop and street fashion. Mitchell & Ness, the biggest throwback brand, went from $2 million in sales in 2000 to $35 million in 2003. The Bullets were already one of its hits. That same year, Ohio ruled high-school senior LeBron James ineligible for accepting two free throwbacks from a store, and one of them was a Wes Unseld Bullets jersey.
By 2005, Mitchell & Ness sales had fallen back to $15 million, and the craze was over. But the Jordan Bullets jersey still sells today, for a team name Washington retired almost 30 years ago.

Ernie’s been doing this longer than I have been alive. For some men, he IS NBA television. When Charles Kenny and Shaq came, it felt like your favorite teacher became a principal. Whatever your thoughts are on sports, Ernie seems to be a guy who got life right

I literally cannot understand all the complaining from Wizards fans after finally getting to see AJ play and him having an incredible debut. Y'all cannot see the forest.
Great #Wizards debut for AJ Dybantsa. Looked like he could come away with a win for a good part of the game.
The #Cavs haven’t lost to the Wiz since December 2021.
Wizards guard/forward AJ Dybantsa finished his NBA debut with a team-high 19 points on 8-for-12 shooting, while also providing two assists and two rebounds in 27 minutes.
It's the most points by a Wizards rookie in their debut since Tom Gugliotta (20) on 11/2/92 at Charlotte, and tied for the fourth-most points by a Wizards rookie in their debut in team history.

This to me is one of the best cold opens/intro to a sports TV show ever. Inside the NBA’ producers did a good job leading with Iverson’s 53 against Toronto and Slum Village playing in the background >>>>
With Ernie Johnson’s retirement from Inside The NBA looming. I encourage everyone to watch old Inside episodes/segments in the Pre-Shaq era. Watching these episodes made me fall in love with sports broadcasting again and also the early 00s nostalgia >>>
