You can cancel an election and ban the winner from running (Romania), you can ban your opponents from ever running again (Hungary), you can threaten to ban the main opposition party and subject it to relentless investigations by the secret police (Germany), you can threaten a ban on the leading presidential candidate and make them wear an ankle monitor (France), every member of your circle can be investigated for corruption (Spain), you can try and cancel local elections because you will lose them (Britain), and you can storm the constitutional court with riot police because you want to control it (Poland). You can just do all these things. The secret is you just have to be on the right side of the European Commission.

The Bible says that civil rulers should praise what is good (1 Peter 2:14). One administration celebrated vile affections and sexual insanity on Easter. The current administration is celebrating the Protestant Reformation, the Sacred Scriptures, and salvation by grace through faith.

I've never seen a league prepare everyone for losing more than the SEC this year. The Big Ten has played 9 since 2017. The Big 12 since 2011. The PAC 12 did it and was the reason they got screwed every year in the CFP era. There is no doubt a 9-3 team will get in but the nonstop whining about it is ridiculous
NEW: Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian says the SEC is cannibalizing itself with a nine-game conference schedule👀 "Any way you slice it, it’s eight more losses. So if you are fortunate enough to be part of that discussion from the committee, how much is the committee going to value one more conference game in the SEC, right?" He added: "To some degree we put the cart before the horse." (h/t @InsideTexas) on3.com/news/steve-sarkisian…

Between 1917 and 1922, the Bolsheviks killed more Christians than the Romans did in three centuries of persecution. Why does no one talk about this?

The old guard republicans are worse than useless. We haven’t even deported all the invaders brought in under Biden, and they want Trump investigated for “deportation abuses”. $40 trillion in debt and entire cities ruled by foreigners. That’s the legacy of their naive ideology
I’m going to say something that many of you are not going to like. What else is new. I don’t want Dems to get control of Congress. But if they do, I hope that they have full oversight hearings on serial deportation abuses that have occurred under Trump 2.0. If you want to unfollow me for having a problem with how this has come down, knock yourself out. IDGAF.

Europe has developed a pretty interesting definition of “protecting democracy.” 🇷🇴 Romania annulled a presidential election after Călin Georgescu finished first, then barred him from the rerun. 🇭🇺 Hungary’s new government rewrote the constitution with retroactive limits that block Viktor Orbán from becoming PM again and later approved rules barring long-serving MPs from the next parliamentary election. 🇩🇪 Germany’s domestic intelligence service classified the AfD as extremist, opening the door to much heavier surveillance of the country’s biggest opposition party. 🇫🇷 France upheld Marine Le Pen’s conviction, kept restrictions on her political future and ordered her to wear an electronic ankle tag. 🇪🇸 In Spain, more than a dozen people tied to Pedro Sánchez’s political and personal circle have been investigated or prosecuted in separate corruption cases, while Sánchez himself has not been charged. 🇬🇧 Britain postponed local elections during a sweeping reorganization of local government, triggering a petition accusing the government of voter suppression. 🇵🇱 And now Poland has police surrounding its Constitutional Tribunal while the government and opposition accuse each other of trying to seize control of the court. The real red line in Europe may not be democracy... It may be leaving the club. Writer: Sol

In just these past two weeks we have seen: 1. Widespread civil unrest and riots in France. 2. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Albania. 3. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Italy. 4. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Spain. 5. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Portugal. 6. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Belgium. 7. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Serbia. 8. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Georgia. 9. Widespread civil unrest and an apparent judicial coup in Poland. 10. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Czechia (including an attempted takeover of the Parliament building). 11. Widespread student protests in Greece. 12. Targeted student protests in Indonesia. 13. Localized violent protests in India. 14. An apparently fraudulent election in Brazil where the presumed presidential election winner was forced to flee the country under threat of arrest by his opponent. 15. The uncovering of a Color Revolution plot in the USA led by embittered former USAID employees and ex-military members. That’s a lot to be happening all at once, don’t you think? And the USA is having midterm elections next week. You know, if I was a conspiracy-minded type I might be connecting some dots here. 🧐

Western civilization is going backwards. Canada is just one example. The bigger question is why. The American midterms are less than a week away. Go vote and help save your country. Broken Country is a documentary no one wants you to see. Watch it. Think for yourself. Watch here : brokencountry.com

Muslims chant about getting guns and shooting Christians on Sundays as they worship. Also, in the same country, Muslims have been shooting Christians on Sundays as they worship. Military action is needed.
BREAKING: Horrifying footage comes out Nigeria where what looks like an army battalion of Islamists chant for the murder of Christians. “Give me AK47s. Into the infidels. On a Sunday. While they are rejoicing and spray fire on them!”

"The discovery of America debunks Christianity" No. It buries atheism. Think about it. When Columbus landed, he found a people CUT OFF from the rest of humanity for 10,000+ years. No Bible. No Jesus. No Moses. No Buddha. No Muhammad. No Torah. No Vedas. If religion is just cultural brainwashing, these people should be pure atheists. What did he find? Temples. Altars. Priests. Sacrifice. Prayer. A Great Spirit. A Creator. Judgment. Afterlife. Every. Single. Time. In the Americas. In Australia. In the Pacific Islands. In the Amazon. Isolated humans, same conclusion: WE ARE NOT ALONE. THERE IS SOMEONE ABOVE US. That's not indoctrination. That's observation. You don't teach every isolated tribe to invent eyes. They invent eyes because light exists. Humanity didn't invent God. Humanity discovered Him.

Reminder that a random gay guy is something like twice as likely to actually have HIV as a randomly selected a straight guy who tests positive for HIV.
Yeah, extramarital sex has historically been taboo as well. “Stigmatize things against the norm.” Ask yourself why homophobic societies have historically outcompeted non-homophobic societies

Natalie Winters' reporting is plugging a lot of holes in the Democracy Files from a different direction.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: European Parliament money helped fund a CLOSED-DOOR meeting on resistance to Trump and MAGA ahead of America’s midterms. The keynote speaker? A University of Georgia professor who had publicly argued that Democratic victories could “make Trump a much weaker president for the rest of his second term.” The June 3 meeting examined where Democratic Party, activist and NGO resistance was working—and how European progressives could learn from it and strengthen transatlantic cooperation. The agenda spells it out: “CLOSED DOOR ROUNDTABLE.” “financial support of the European Parliament.” European Parliament Vice-President Katarina Barley convened it. The Foundation for European Progressive Studies and Germany’s Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung organized it. Professor Cas Mudde delivered the keynote, according to the organizers’ recap.

The concerning decline of SAT rigorousness is a reflection of overall decline of the quality of education. No wonder young college graduates today are so easily swayed by radical ideology. The study from @TACollege found SAT today: 1. Shorter passages, less than a third of their former length 2. A sharp drop in the number of vocabulary questions requiring independent word knowledge, from 60 per test to 10 3. The near elimination of argumentative and persuasive readings from the test, replaced by expository texts 4. Replacing reading passages that assumed prior knowledge and understanding on the part of the reader with texts that reveal their meanings through contextual clues See the chart below shows "Vocabulary on the SAT verbal section, by form"
We were concerned that the SAT has become a less reliable measure of student preparedness for a rigorous college curriculum. So, we commissioned a study from Johns Hopkins University. What does this study tell us about the state of higher education? The results are shocking. thaq.co/4iLThZ0

Bring light.
Amidst all the talk of ghouls and goblins, people forget that Halloween is the halfway point between the autumnal equinox and the winter solstice. You are, by all measurable accounts, entering the darkest time of the year. Regardless of your religion or taste around Halloween, remember that. It’s a time when you need to be bringing light into your home. Light candles, light fires, carve the pumpkin. The dark is ready to pounce and you need to beat it back.

He called us "bitter clingers," he told business owners they didn't build that, he weaponized the IRS to target conservatives, he called you a racist if you disagreed with him, and he spied on Donald Trump's campaign. Now, he wants unity.
