He protected Italian cuisine is what he did.
He was a brave Italian chef.
And in this house, he's a hero.

Hadn’t watched The Nice Guys for a few years, and man, #movies just don’t get much funnier. A perfect buddy comedy with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling, and no surprise since virtually all of Shane Black’s movies are bangers.
Listening to it again today just confirms Phoebe Bridgers' Lost Weekend is easily my favorite album of 2026 so far. It's just a weird, witty little wonder, so spin it for sure.

Nicolas Cage in Pig was special. It’s a performance more people should remember. Why? Because it completely flipped Cage-based expectations on its head. The loud, over-the-top "classic Nic Cage" acting style that defined basically his entire career is absent in this film. Here, he gives a performance that was incredibly subdued. It speaks to Cage’s range, which I’m learning is deeper than I thought.

During The Gene Hackman HOF Episode on @TheBigPic, Tracy Letts told a hilarious story about how Ben Stiller supposedly approached Gene Hackman on the set of the Royal Tenenbaums and told Hackman how much The Poseidon Adventure meant to him- only for Hackman to respond that it was “just a money gig”. Utterly hilarious. @BenStiller I hate to put you on the spot like this, but do you have any good stories about working with Hackman you’d maybe feel comfortable sharing? I only ask because The HOF Hackman episode has me missing this man more than ever.

Finished hopefully just season one of Sharon Horgan’s fantastic #Youth on the HBO or Max or whatever, and can’t recommend a show any higher. As messy as life can get but much funnier, so here’s hoping for a season two
Granted, #TheOutsiders will always be better, but I love Francis Ford Coppola’s Rumble Fish just as much. It’s just a thoroughly trippy treat, and Mickey Rourke and the whole cast are great. Watch it on Criterion Channel or wherever you can find it.
Love watching #ChampionsLeague, especially when #Gooners triumph on road, but man are the pre- and post-game shows on Paramount Plus just entirely unwatchable.

Mahershala Ali’s performance in Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother (🌟🌟🌟🌟) is his best work since he won his first Oscar in Moonlight. I’ve long maintained that Hollywood doesn’t know how to properly use Ali’s gifts. The last 5-6 years haven’t been great for an actor I admire deeply. That changed this year. That changed with Your Mother. If you’re reading this Tweet & still haven’t seen Ali’s latest film, I’m personally challenging you to find a way.
