Thank you @usdaRMA for affirming NRCS conservation practices as Good Farming Practices! This change will not only help producers adopt practices, it sends a message that conservation + crop insurance are simply better together💞 farmland.org/aft-applauds-us…
AFT’s New England team was in CT for a Farm Bill Listening Session hosted by @RepJahanaHayes w/ @CongressmanGT. AFT’s Chelsea Gazillo testified about the importance of farmland protection and the need to better support small farms by creating an Office of Small Farms at USDA.

Today's signing of the Inflation Reduction Act into law marks the end of well over a year of hard work by Congress, and consistent advocacy from AFT, our partners, and so many of you. We want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible!
The IRA invests $20B into helping producers protect their land from development, adopt climate-smart practices, reduce emissions, and build resilience. AFT has worked on these issues for 40 years, and is thrilled that the bill sees agriculture as part of the climate solution.
This celebration is also a new beginning as AFT works with @USDA to ensure that this funding is put out quickly, equitably, and effectively. The IRA also has big implications for helping us to achieve our goals for the 2023 Farm Bill - read more here: farmland.org/2023-Farm-Bill
The Inflation Reduction Act would help farmers and ranchers to fight climate change and build resilience to its impacts by making an historic investment in conservation programs. Read AFT's statement here: farmland.org/aft-statement-o…
