Producers can reap many benefits through @USDA_NRCS' Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). In Oregon, Mike Burton received cost-share funding through EQIP for a high tunnel, which has extended his growing season by six weeks and protects his crops from the high winds in his area. Today, @POTUS and @SecRollins announced the Harvest Fuel Relief Program — making $8 BILLION available for one-time payments to farmers facing higher costs and market disruptions. Here’s what that means: ➡️ Payments to help cover a portion of estimated losses for the 2026 crop year. ➡️ Payment amounts based on planted acres, production costs, crop yields, and prices. ➡️ Row crop payment rates announced in November, with details for other eligible commodities to follow. ➡️ Application will be available online using a Login.gov account that is connected to USDA. 🔗 usda.gov/about-usda/news/pre…

If you’re dealing with increased weed pressure, erosion, or soil degradation, consider cover crops. This “periodic table” can help you select the right species. E.g., if a rotation is corn and soybeans, adding a cool season broadleaf will increase the biodiversity in the field.

PROTECT THE HERD. BACK THE RANCHER. 🇺🇸🐄 Under President Trump, we’re putting American farmers and ranchers first — and backing that commitment with action. Today’s $1.8 BILLION in Conservation Reserve Program payments includes Grassland CRP, which helps ranchers protect grasslands while keeping them in use for grazing. That means preserving productive land, supporting ranchers’ livelihoods, and strengthening the foundation for rebuilding America’s cattle herd. Ranchers First.
🚨 USDA is issuing approximately $1.8 BILLION in 2026 Conservation Reserve Program payments to agricultural producers and landowners. These payments include Grassland CRP payments that play an important role in the Trump Administration’s Ranchers First Initiative announced by @SecRollins that includes sweeping actions focused on rebuilding the Great American Cattle Herd and putting America’s ranchers back at the center of our nation’s food supply. 🔗 usda.gov/about-usda/news/pre…
