Cossham Hospital has a state-of-the-art MRI machine that can find cancers that a mammogram might miss.

When I joined @NorthBristolNHS in February 2022, the single biggest piece of feedback from our direct care nurses was their dislike of being redeployed - as a direct care nurse I remember how much I loathed being moved.
So, together we made a commitment to reduce the number of times a nurse would be redeployed, whilst there is still more work for us to do, we achieved this 85% reduction by:
✅ Leadership commitment to improvement
✅ Focusing on health and wellbeing
✅ Reducing workload intensity
✅ Recruiting to the team
✅ Retaining our team
✅ Developing an attractive bank offer
✅ Supporting development
Its part of the reason why over 72% of direct care nurses would recommend @NorthBristolNHS as a place to work.
