(cont’d) “Smart traffic signals. A city-wide network of adaptive signal timing across all 2,500 intersections that responds to live traffic, replacing controllers that in places are two decades old and short of spare parts.”

@BradMBradford has said: “Faster streetcars. Full transit signal priority, automated switches and 500m stop spacing to cut streetcar travel times by 40%. Toronto streetcars average 10.8 km/h. European cities run at 19. A streetcar that moves stops backing up every car behind it.”

@oliviachow has said: “Transit signal priority now saves Line 5 and 6 riders 10-20 minutes per day, she will expand it to Spadina, King and Queens Quay.”

Good news: both mayoral candidates have made platform promises regarding issues raised in our plan. 🧵 #ttc #torontotransit #topoli #electionday

We've seen lots of support from city council candidates across the city on getting these points in place, which is really encouraging.

Toronto really, really needs a mayor who will not only be there for, but adamantly push for our streetcar network to be fixed. And our 10-point plan is the perfect place to start. fast-track.to/
