How it feel mid exam thinking “wait this has been kinda easy” and then 10 second later you realize it’s wraps
I get wanting to play away but is made no sense for Haiti to play in Jamaica over Miami. Idk what the outrage is about
MATCH UPDATE: @Concacaf announced it has approved the request of the Haitian Football Federation to move the first leg of our Nations League quarterfinal from Kingston, Jamaica to Nu Stadium in Miami, FL.
The second leg will still take place as scheduled in Cincinnati on 11/17.
Matthew Hoppe, Jonathan Amon and Kelly Acosta December Callups
“It will be a good way to evaluate many players who perhaps haven’t had the opportunity up to this point.”
The USMNT will have a December camp, and will play Jamaica for a friendly in Florida.
Mauricio Pochettino says it won’t just be MLS players 👀
He will try to bring in players from other leagues that are on a break at that time.
“It’s important for us, above all, because it gives us the opportunity to look at a different pool of players than the one we normally call up when a FIFA international window requires it,” Pochettino said to Telemundo.
“So we’re very happy to have this opportunity, to play in Florida, in Fort Lauderdale.
“It will be a good way to evaluate many players who perhaps haven’t had the opportunity up to this point.
“It’s not just about having MLS players available, but also players from different leagues that may be on a break or on vacation.
“So we’re also evaluating all the players who could be called up for that date.”
Thought Neil Pierre had a really good game yesterday. He is a player who I feel like gets better by the week.
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Malik Tillman has more World Cup knockout round goals than Cristiano Ronaldo
BREAKING: FIFA president Gianni Infantino broke the global soccer body’s own rules and fixed the scrapping of USMNT forward Folarin Balogun’s World Cup red card during a phone call with President Donald Trump, per the NY Post.
“He told President Trump that he would take care of it. One call and it was done."
Here is where I stand as of now, if everyone is healthy. This is who all I'd call up next month + 1 goalkeeper too. What are we thinking #usmnttwitter, let's hear it?
Now that we’re all grown up. I will say that I enjoyed Kelly Acosta on the National team, thought he was a hooper
Thoughts on Tim Weah this cycle?
Seen lots of discourse and frustration (understandably so), but I do think he will be a contributor this cycle. There will be a lots games where his strengths can help us. Raises the floor for us out wide, should be there next month.
Here is what I would like to see tonight
-Could convince me the start Raines
-Would like to see C.Campbell at somepoint
-Swap tillman at half, need him or Reyna to start
Rewatch thoughts:
- No reason for Kochen to not be #1
- Freeman has snatched Dests chain
- 1st half press/buildout was not good
- 2nd half even before 🟥we were much more the aggressors
-Sullivan, Reyna, Adams, Hall👌
-Ellis should’ve squared to Albert🥀
Other takeaways?
Malik Tillman is the only guy in the pool that could pull this off (maybe Pulisic), Ik people get upset about the nonchalant gimmick but somethings are so easy for him.
4 goals in his last 5 caps, I'm okay with saying he should be the '"main guy" this cycle
This decade:
- USMNT is 6-2-2 against Mexcio
- 5-1-1 in Competitive games
- 3-1 in Finals
- Mexico haven't beat the USMNT with Pulisic or Mckennie playing
- USMNT haven't been grouped in a WC
- Much superior talent
USMNT have ran Concacaf for a while and its not changing soon
Was enjoying a great night on #USMNTtwitter, clocked it was 11:40 and that I had an assignment I had to submit by midnight
