Exactly one year ago today, we closed the doors to our buildings. Who would have thought that a year later, we would be helping community members book COVID vaccination appointments?
In this moment, I can’t think of a better way for us to serve our community. I really feel that this is the true essence of library work.

Kitchener Public Library's chief executive, Mary Chevreau, wants the new community library in Kitchener’s southwest to be a destination that’s inviting, accessible to all, and nestled in the midst of plenty of green space. therecord.com/news/waterloo-…

New Kitchener library might offer cooking lessons, or a garden, as well as books

Plenty of options as KPL refines plans for new southwest branch

"Libraries also became information hubs, community centres, a place to learn new skills, to be part of an online book club, a place that enabled you to create your own story instead of reading someone else's." 🥰 therecord.com/opinion-story/…
