MILO a good & perfect boy with the right person. – at Mountain Lake Park, MD
🆘🆘 MILO (ID 260794), 1 YO, MALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 8/17/2026, with the surrender reason stated as animal behavior - aggressive towards people. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿
➡️TBD 10/29/26
➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY
➡️ ONLY A BABY – JUST BEGINNING LIFE
➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST
➡️🆘🆘 6TH CHANCE ON EMERGENCY PLACEMENT LIST – VERY RARE – SHELTER AT CAPACITY - COULD BE LAST CALL FOR MILO- VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK– 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱
➡️ 72 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT
➡️ MILO IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display challenging behavior during interactions. He is extremely intelligent and high energy, and needs to expend energy constructively with interactive play sessions 3-4X/day. In addition to playtime, this cat would also benefit from mental exercise from activities such as puzzle toys/games, lick mats, or clicker training. Without providing activity for his mind and body, the cat may react with rough play, potentially resulting in bite/scratch incidents. - This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some feline body language together! A volunteer writes: Milo wants to be part of the action, he just isn't always sure how to explain that to people. This is relatable and I feel for him. He's a go, go, go, go kind of cat who wants to do all this going at his own pace. Milo's improved quite a bit since coming to us and seems characteristically eager to demonstrate this through repeatedly leaping off his den with a flourish. Since I wasn't entirely sure where Milo was going with this, I offered a pipe cleaner feather, which happily kept his interest for a few moments before he decided nuzzles were better. Then he decided that it was probably best to see the town, as it were, leaning his whole little cat self over my arm in his efforts to get just a tiny bit better view. Milo's hoping to see and be seen, which though it might be easier said than done for a shelter cat such as himself, is hoping to be seen by you. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻

Precious boy Chu Chu – at Oakland, MD
🆘🆘 CHU CHU (ID 260232), 1 YO, MALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an agency on 7/20/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿
➡️TBD 10/29/26
➡️ ONLY A BABY – JUST BEGINNING LIFE
➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST
➡️🆘🆘 5TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – BEYOND URGENT - NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱
➡️ 100 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT
➡️ CHU CHU IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥
My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. I would do best in a home with only adult humans. A volunteer writes: When I met Chu Chu, he was snuggled all the way in the back of his cubby considering the comings and goings of Adoptions with all the interest in the world and just as much reservation. Shelter life hasn't exactly been a rose garden for this gentle hearted cat and though Chu Chu came to us without a lot of information back in July, we have every reason to believe he would appreciate a quiet and patient home. Finding his way at the Care Center has been an enormous ask made all the more complicated by the fact that he doesn't seem to want much help from our end. There are a couple of things he seems to enjoy, like treats, which he tentatively sniffs before partaking, and Chu Chu loves to watch us play with feather wands through his little cubby window. What Chu Chu would love most of all, however, is a second chance. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻

➡️ RAY RAY IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL & BEHAVIORAL REASONS -Ray Ray has been very stressed at the shelter. He has developed an upper respiratory infection that has stopped him from eating. Ray Ray so far will not let us handle him for treatments. He needs a quiet environment to heal and receive individualized attention. Ray Ray is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. NOT EATING/APPETITE ISSUES ARE A DEATH SENTENCE IN THE SHELTER. This evaluation/diagnosis means that RAY RAY will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
What my friends at ACC say about me: I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing. I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me. Due to the detailed behavior issues, this animal is only available for foster/adoption through one of ACC's New Hope Partners. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻
