ALT Call: (417) 767-4491 Email: [email protected] Suggested wording: “Hello, I am contacting you on behalf of Joshua Williams #1292002, who reports that he is due for a transfer away from Ozark Correctional Center. Mr. Williams is currently being held in restricted housing at Ozark, and has not been given an adequate explanation as to why. I demand that you allow Mr. Williams to complete his scheduled transfer immediately.”

ALT Josh Williams is the only remaining political prisoner from the Ferguson/St. Louis uprisings. He was an on-the-ground activist and protester that helped lead one of the largest movements against police violence in modern history. A few months after his 19th birthday, he was convicted and sentenced to a crime with almost no evidence. His unjust and harsh sentence was an attempt to intimidate the movement and make an example out of him. Josh has continued to speak truth to power and use his voice to unify communities against oppression.
